Review: Rush Plus come from Washington DC, but this release sounds like it was fashioned in the bowels of an underground techno party in Detroit or London. "Megabust" is a dark, metal-on-metal minimal grinder, like early Surgeon fused with the urgent funk of Mills. "Rebirth" is more musical as it deploys deep chords over the pair's uptempo break beat techno. On "Sweat", they revert to a stripped back, minimal sound as metallic drums and tough kicks provide the basis for raw riffs and menacing chords. Rounding off this UK/US techno focused EP is "Slow Release", an uptempo pounding affair that recalls the output of 90s labels like Spira.
