Review: Miami Music Week is undoubtedly one of the most important events on the calendar for the global electronic music community. Berlin powerhouse Get Physical has tapped Bristolian rising star Dubspeeka to soundtrack this year's event on their annual compilation series, bringing (like his name may suggest) some rolling, low end heavy grooves on the glacial and tunnelling tip. Not what you'd usually expect for the sun soaked festivities, but after one listen you'll hear that it certainly does work. From the legend Steve Rachmad's Basic Channel tribute on his remix of M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Booka Shade's "Home", the deep tribal atmospherics of Floyd Levine's remix of Thor Rixon's "The Clown" through to harder hitting sounds by the CLR affiliated Monoloc on M.A.N.D.Y's- "Gizmo". Also, the inimitable Robert Hood's provides an intense dancefloor weapon via Azari & III's "Extinction Event". These tracks are a bunch of secret weapons for any serious DJ. Comes complete a continuous mic with several of Dubspeeka's own wicked tracks..

Something Said
Something Said (Super Flu remix) - (8:12) 123 BPM Hot
Something Said - (6:08) 120 BPM
Review: Murgatroyd from Rocstar Records released "Said" late last year on Get Physical, featuring remixes from Ian Pooley, Now Booka Shade's label has commissioned a new version. This time, production duo Super Flu has been tapped for remix duties, and they don't disappoint. The German pair aim for a heads-down, percussive take that has echoes of classic Plastikman in its firing, filtered percussion, without losing the original version's tripped out musicality. Murgatroyd's own production is also audible on this release, and it serves as a reminder as to why Get Physical are releasing his music. Hazy vocals, deep chords and woozy filters are combined over a stripped back rhythm track to create a musical, accessible take on tech-house.

Something Said
Something Said (Ian Pooley remix) - (7:02) 123 BPM Hot
Something Said (Ian Pooley dub) - (6:32) 123 BPM
Something Said - (6:08) 120 BPM
Review: Rocstar Records co-founder Ryan Murgatroyd returns to Get Physical with his third single for the storied Berlin imprint. In its' original form, "Something Said" is a lucid, early morning delight, with skewed but soulful vocals and gently wonky electronic motifs rising above a crackling, swinging tech-house groove. German house veteran Ian Pooley handles remix duties, offering up two interpretations. His "Remix" utilizes bits of the vocal whilst transforming the track into a hypnotic, riff-heavy chunk of rolling deep house goodness. The re-rub's restless stabs and hazy late night hum are explored further on Pooley's arguably superior Dub.

Review: Kissdafunk is one of the legendary house music nights born out of the North of the UK (formed by Glyn Tolley and DJ Rob Tissera), which over the years helped carve the scene and pave the way for an unprecedented amount of DJs and producers. It makes perfect sense then for them to start a compilation series reflecting the past whilst looking ahead to the future, and an exciting one it is too. Here we have just shy of 40 full length tracks, for a mere L8.99 and packed full of dance-floor dynamite, with; Will Gold, My Digital Enemy, Carl Cox, The Squatters, Paul Morrell, and Kryder being just a handful of the talent on offer... Get stuck right in!!
