Comprising the likes of Gray, DJ Gaw, K-Jah, Section, Conrad Subs, Parallel, Disrupta and so many more on-point names in modern D&B, each cut gets turbo-charged and subverted to the max. With 26 remixes, there are too many highlights to mention but you'd be mad to sleep on Disrupta's savage take on Hybrid's 'Shoot 'Em Up', Parallel's epic sweeps on Swerve's 'Massive & Crew' or GLM's cosmic take on Section's 'Perfect Space'. Review: Founded by DJ Hybrid, one of the hardest working men in the last 10 years of jungle, Audio Addict has been a vital platform for many artists to breakthrough. Kumarachi, Agro, Scartip, RMS, Section, Jaybee and many more enjoyed early cuts on the label, who've always had an open remit that's stretched from heavier dancefloor cuts to deeper, more junglist tunes. Recently rebooted with a new plan and re-generated crew, the label now look back over many killer cuts from last decade. Highlights include the sample-smashing 'Back To Reality' (RMS) , the epic disco feels of 'All You Need To Know' (Bassface Sascha & Fiendsoul) and the bleepy, low-slung stepper 'My Days Are Cold' (Agro). Here's to another 10 years.

Review: Section is on Locked Up Music this week for a roughshod, rough-and-tumble release full of jungle flavours and dark soundscapes. I mean, just look at that artwork. Did you think this was going to be a release of niceties? The title track is a break-laden jungle stormer which just progresses and progresses, never staying still and with a new twist behind every breakdown. 'Puzzle' is the other highlight, a dark, pulsating number that rests on a broken sense of percussive travel and which continues the trend of excellent track progression. Top EP.

Review: Section has landed on Dubsoul Recordings for a really nice single, a double-tracker that's grounded in a sense of junglism but which extends beyond your average jungle cut. The percussion across both tunes is next-level, with a hypnotically intricate tapestry of bongos, snares and kicks which all sit idyllically alongside each other. 'Pushover' has more space in the arrangement and subtler back end, but 'Offshore' injects an element of melancholia with the sound of seagulls and waves washing up on the shore. We'll let you decide which is better.

Review: From the outset, this release screams ragga sonics. From the artwork to the basslines, Section's Step Off EP is a work full of rusty jungle vibes and roughed-up edges, each bar of each tune coming together to make this un-sophisticated yet banging EP. The title tune features Junior Red and sets the tone for the whole release: reggae sounds and diving low-frequency shakes. There's a definite element of minimalist force throughout, though, 'Mad As Hell' exemplifying Section's ability to take things down a dark and dirty turn. Special mention to 'Black Friday' for bringing up the rear with some pristine jungle work, combining both heaviness and lightness to great effect.

Review: An excellent 15-track drum & bass selection here from Section's Locked Up Music label. Conscience & Taelimb's 'Latex' kicks us off in fine deep, minimal style, while SR's pounding jungle roller 'Bassline' plays us out. In between you'll find brooding neurofunk (see, for instance, Cynical Gene's 'Jokes On You'), lively liquid-leaning steppers (Section's 'We Need You'), percussion-led tear-outs (Dapz's 'Hidden Messages'), dreamy, dubby near-ambience (Marcus Tee's 'Visions Of A Life Not Mine' feat Shyrren5) and pretty much all shades in-between, making for a pleasingly varied package that's also great value for money.

Review: Three veritable jungle gentlemen team up for the first instalment of Ikon-B's "Colabs" series. First to join the party is the inimitable roller merchant Kumarachi who taps in for a slinky low riding heads-down viber. Ice cold introspection with glacial synths and melodic sub bubbles "Decode" takes you right back into the midst of (Krome &) Time. "We Warned You" sees Ikon-B upping the stink factor with Section. Rusty breaks, echoed out MC vox and a rolling groove so robust it can flatten your entire unit. Bring on part two.

Review: DJ Hybrid looks back over another successful and hugely prolific year with this massive 31 track compendium of Audio Addict slammers, bangers and a few cheeky exclusives. A great opportunity to get up to speed on the 170BPM clarity DJ Hybrid operates the label at, every single track guarantees heat. Notable shouts go out to Kumurachi's various inclusions (especially Octo-Pi's brand new remix of "Phatty"), RMS & Dcision's low-riding bumper "One Ting", Epicentre's slinky soul-touched roller "infamous", Agro's skank-slapped "Bust Dis Ting" and Swerve's maximum-boosting twist of Hybrid's "What Else". But that really is the tip of the double-A iceberg. It's been an exceptional year for the label, and this is proof.

Review: Two and a half years deep into their dark star safari Sub-Liminal continue to shred up the dance with a crack team of heavy bass innovators. Bass riffs galore and aesthetics so unforgiving, every track is tailored for the most underground floor... The worming low-end mashery of Too Greezey's "Modulation", Leaf's oddball drum funk and melting trumpets on "Shoot Off", Warhead's brutal technoid mutations on "A'Gwarn" and Tyrant's absolutely annihilating "Nuclear Bomb" are just four of the 14 high level bangers on display here. There's nothing subliminal about the message on this one: not picking up on this is a criminal offence.

Review: Nothing says happy new year better than a 33-track jungle package. Ripping into the year in the same spirit they shredded 2016 with, DITJ have delivered something serious special here as some of modern jungle's finest creative minds: the never-failing DJ Hybrid slams the hammer down with the enormous VIP of "What Else", RMS continues his rich vein of form with some dagger-like samplecraft on the dancehall scorching "Burning Up", Section conjures up the spirit of Raindance past with some crafty drum-dicing "Black Magic" while Evade will turn you inside out on his trippy-assed amen omen "Reverse"... And that's just four of over thirty moments. Trust... We can't stress how massive this is.

Review: Jay B and Solley's Section project hits a new level of heritage notes with four slabs of timeless junglism; "Pull Up" has that rattling rolling sound that Randall and a young Andy C championed almost 25 years ago, with its brutal sheets of distorted bass "Easy War" is straight out of the book of Dillinja circa "Grimey", "Rasta Vibes" is a neat dubby roller not dissimilar to the early work of Breakage while "Come Ready" finishes on a dark tech vibe with subtle nuances of Headz coded deep into the atmospheres. Four disparate styles, four more reasons to be rocking Section jams all day long.
