Review: The 030 Files is the seventh album from Shed and is as diverse as the multitude of aliases he operates under. Tough dance floor techno is well represented by the heads-down rhythm on "Awe". Meanwhile, the rolling break beats that characterise projects like EQ'D and Head High are audible on the soulful "Rocket" and the deep techno-influenced "Shot Rhythm". The German producer's passion for house music was most strikingly articulated via his Wax releases, and he gives full vent to this side of his sound on the filtered "Cut". And while Shed is known primarily for his dance floor work, The 030 Files also features a stunningly atmospheric ambient track in the shape of "Zone".
