Review: Invisible has been one of Noisia's best labels for quite a while now and whilst it's sad to see this as the last release, the sadness is ameliorated somewhat by how damn good this compilation is, featuring some of the best artists and tracks to have graced the label over the past couple of years. MRSA's "Push me Down the Stairs' has been a favourite ever since it saw a release on Solids_2 last year, in one of the most creative displays of funky, glitched up techy D&B in a long time. Ground's 'Swindle's is also unstoppably good and endlessly creative, with spacious, atmospheric attempts at dancefloor grit. With other legends like Fre4knc and Hybris on here, this isn't one to miss.

Review: Signal, DLR and Abis is an absolutely vicious combination that blends sparse rolling funk and frenetic neurofunk, with fantastic results. This might be the techiest release so far on DLR's Sofa Sound label and we're loving it, with both cuts packing a mix of penetrating synth lines underpinned by pulsating low frequency action. 'Artworld' is the heavier of the two but it doesn't feel overproduced, instead it feels clean, powerful and incredibly precise with everything exactly where it should be. 'Deeper Understanding' rests more on DLR's stylistic base, with one of the best second drops we've heard in ages. The Sofa strikes again...

We kick off with "Doom Desire", a turbine harmonic explosion with a bassline that actually trims your beard if you're within 50 feet of the speakers. The deeper into the document we dent, the more twists in the tail we find... The naked grumbling stepper "Lost Victory" (with fellow new-gen murderation specialists Disprove & Fre4knc), the sultry vocal and introspective soundscapes of "How Will I Know" and the machine funk blunderbuss "Misery". By high, sell high: Signal's dealing out furiously fine dividends right here.

Review: Rising faster than a bitcoin bro's portfolio, young Dutchman Signal makes his full release debut on Friction's Shogun Audio. One track for now (but we suspect more is to come), "How Will I Know" develops the emotional side he started to truly reveal with his killer Camo & Krooked remix last year. Flexing a delicate vocal around sinewy fast lane beats with soul and subtlety, it's yet another precision piece of work for the unstoppable talent.

Review: Young Signal's making all the right signs and sines right now. Barely 18 and he's already fine-tuning a crisp, spacious sound, variety and detailed mixdown signature. Most importantly... the funk is abundant. There's a natural groove to both "Parallax" and "Ten Paths" that's not dissimilar to Break just slightly darker. Elsewhere "Downfall" is reminiscent of "Oblique" in its icy soulful way but with delicate vocals from Zoe Klinck while "Fearless" takes note from techno with its staccato riff and tippy percussive off-beat clips. Teaming up with equally on-point and hyped act Aggressor Bunx for the finale, "Isolation Cell" hits with the darkest design of the EP Vicious and rattling with an electrified aesthetic. Another surefire sign of a bright future for Signal.

Review: This will make you feel old no matter how old you actually are... At time of release, Signal is 15 years old! Age ain't nothing but a number, though, and it's clear his youth has been very well invested as the Dutchman has already scored appearances on Renegade Hardware and, now, Critical. Highlights are found in every detail-ridden track but stand-out cuts are the echo-soaked cathedral dynamics of "Judgement" and the blacksmith snare slaps on "Moved On". Sleeping on this should be a criminal offence!
