Review: As ever with Kaizen, we are in for a serious treat on this one as the futuristic production outfit of Silas & Snare touch down on the label to deliver three techy heaters, sure to turn the rave into an absolute zoo. We kick off the project with the heavy hitting distorted 808 pulses and chunky drumwork of the title track 'Pressure', before looking at the percussive brilliance and overall good vibes of 'Dreamscape'. We then look to finish up our viewing of this one with a quick peek at the blippy expanses of 'Whistle Bliower', a track that seems to be constantly expanding form start to finish through colourful sound design and vibrant arpeggios.

Review: Brotherhood Soundsystem is a Leeds based bass music label run by Silas and Will. They're back with their second offering in a series of compilations entitled 'Percussive Parameters', delivering percussion and bass driven grooves. Troy Gunner will take you deep into the exotic via "Pleading"?, Silas & Snare get rather ethereal and atmospheric with "Memories" which is geared for some real moments of hypnotism. Elsewhere, Agrippa deliver some absolutely lush polyrhythms on the wonderful "Ziplash" and Yak serves up the release's most intense and heady moment with the brooding and minimalistic "Showdown".

Review: The Brotherhood Sound System released two heavy bass swelters back in 2014 and, since then, only another appearance was made in 2016, which leaves this new collaborative effort to give us a little view as to what they might be up to next. There's a whole bunch of new faxes here, and Callahan's "Kudzu" sets the scene nicely with a bit of minimalistic tribal drumming, which is followed by the glitchy, sparse two-steps of "Eastern Shores" by Silas & Snare. A:Tonal's "Perfect Imbalance" is the master-stroke on here, a fluttering wave of percussion and hissing sonics, but SYZ and LKY's beat thrashings should not go overlooked. In fact, this whole EP feels truly collaborative, linked-up by a recurrent pattern of thought which is sublimely executed from start to finish.
