Review: This collection of remixes from Fur Trade straddles a diverse range of styles. At one end of the spectrum is Jordan Dare's version of Sinteg's "Yaxkin", a stripped back, glitchy techno groove and the insane time-warped vocals and splintered minimal rhythms of Ollie Viero's take on Kegaska's "Desire". At the other end, Cristobal Urbina's remix of Kegaska's "Terraformed" explores a place where pulsing basslines and liquid synths unfold over loose drums. A similarly deep but more structurally rigid approach is audible on Romeo Kardec's reshape of Ollie Viero's "The Blue Wall", where metallic drums underpin swelling chords, but the undisputed highlight is the swinging groove and plaintive keys of the DJ Melon remix of Viero's "I Brake For Mushrooms".
