Review: As a fantastic way to close out the year, we see the Future Follower's team linking up for an end of year disco, welcoming 20 tracks onto the label via their brand new 'Decade' compilation series. Through a vibrant combination of genres and styles, we see the likes of Digital Pilgrimz, RDubz, Sirmo, Shiva, Sketia and more all getting involved, sweeping from raucous dubstep designs to more dancefloor driven bassline bangers. It's a very vibrant collection and is a fantastic way for the label to celebrate a decade of activity, with our favourite features including the electrifying synthesiser work of Reigamortis' 'Hondo', next to the creepy soundscapes and blippy delays of 'Abyss Stare' from Kyoshe', with the unique, funk infused layouts of MAW's 'Jazztalk' also turning a few heads. Exceptional stuff!

Review: Menace to society, menace to the dancefloor: Hungarian bass welder Sirmo proves the knighthood in his name once again with two more funk-minded floor-focussed cuts where the springiest of basslines are out to play. The title track fuses with a series of classic breaks before dropping into a Night Bass style low end strut while "Fearsome" bumps and sways with an almost Dirtybird style funk thanks to the downpitched vocal hook.

Review: It's been a year since Slime's second instalment of their leading compilation Future Sound Of Garage series. Now the follow-up has finally arrived boasting 28 examples of what they to be consider music of the future. There are too many to name, but highlights include the ethereal and sensual future-step opener "Return" by Monoblue, the seductive, delicate chimes of the shimmering "Ever Feel" by Just Breathe, the sparse and raw 2-step of Pavv's "Let It Go" and even the uber commercial Ibiza-friendly anthem "Stone" by Project X is a (guilty) pleasure.

Review: Although for his latest offering Sirmo has ditched the Star Wars shtick, the force is most certainly with him still on the Take A Shot EP. With three high powered jams on here there's no worry of feet missing the dancefloor anytime soon. The title track launches things in a flurry of techy attitude, before "Drop The Bass" continues apace with ricocheting bass and string stabs. Lastly "Tell Me", fuses ghetto beats with some nasty wobble action and soulful vocals.

Review: Star Wars imagery was rife in 90s dance music and Sirmo is resurrecting this style. Although we struggle to imagine Darth Vader and his 'Stomptroopers' throwing shapes to Sirmo's sounds, we can see everybody else doing it! "I Know" is a fast and furious garage/house roller with diva vocal snippets and two retro rave-style breakdowns and "Stomptrooper" features a speedy 4 x 4 march, barking bass and laser gun percussion. Finally "Screw Up" wraps things up as a jam with effervescent hi-hats, cowbell rhythms and low gravity bass bounce. There's plenty to hear here. These are the tracks you're looking for.

Review: Sirmo is a garage producer from Pecs, Hungary, but you'd think he was proper South London judging by these convincing street level sounds. "Gotta Do With It" nails that perfect sound that even Matt "Jam" Lamont would appreciate. The Steve Brooke remix is more intricate and incorporates some head rush style atmosphere and some catchy house key stabs. "My Dress" is a lot tougher and a bit darker; another great bassline and tight rhythm here but it's the "Dappa VIP" which really nails it; quite a shuffle on this one and reminds us of classics by R.I.P. Or Tuff Jam.

Review: Sirmo likes it lean and mean and, as such, his productions are sparse, slick and chrome plated. Here "Soundboy" sounds like a large, ominous space ship gliding through bass-3space destroying all in its path. Libra's remix follows up behind, mopping any debris with its scattershot beats and dreamy pads.

Review: If you ever wanted to know what a collision between a garage juggernaut and a wobble techno would sound like, well, "My Dress" is it. Sirmo weaves a quirky snippet of film dialogue around lively hi-hats and juddering bottom end for an explosive floor-filler. The Dappa VIP version dubs things out slightly and adds an extra little spring in its step. However the monster track here is Steve Brooke's remix which adds another nastier bassline and more of a garage swing for maximum dancefloor damage.

Cherry picking the best examples of low end creativity from their recent releases, along with a few exclusives for good measure, the result is yet another extensive Nu Wave document that leaves you under no illusion as to how tight their game is. Review: Hungarian heaviness UKG-style, "Mooody" sees Sirmo conjuring up six different types of bassline and laying them down over a delightfully shufflesome drum arrangement. Twisting and turning with turbulence, it's design to keep your floor on their toes from start to finish. Flip for "Big Jimmy". A more linear affair (read: he's got about three bass sounds instead of six) it rolls and gurgles over a slightly techier beat... The results speak for themselves.
