Review: For this one, we see the highly experimental flavours of SKRS get to work on a full length project entitled 'Paradise Magic Traxx' in association with the Ancient Monarchy imprint. This eight track wonderbox is a real mix and blend of flavours, spanning through a range of tempos and themes, each more eccentric than the last. The standout moments for us include the fantastic use of sampling on 'Forgotten Lovers' which scatters soulful vocals into the blender to great effect. The dubwise influences on 'Gunshot Riddim' and 'Dub Shoulda Known' are also worth a solid mention, along with the soulful sub rolls of 'Give Dem' and spacious use of jazz chord arrangements on 'Rollout Riddim'. As a project this is a great dive into SKRS's creative energies.
