Review: Stop the party... It sounds like phrase that should have been said at certain shindigs certain UK politicians were hosting over the last few lockdowny years but it's actually a sample in this floor-burner from rising young rave blazer Skudkid. It's backed by three more murky missives: 'Whoa!' lives up to its name with its offkey harmonic turbine blast bass notes, 'Zombies Of Nairobi' is funky enough to wake the dead with its minimal funk and big oozy, woozy bassline and 'Contract Killer' is pure sniper material thanks to its epic high voltage bassline. Party on dudes, said a certain leader to his certain cronies.

Review: The Dropzone Audio team are at this point synonymous with putting together highly energetic D&B drops, with this new two track remix project being a perfect example of that as Rodeo has two of his heavy hitters sent to the slicer. We begin with 'Dimmer Switch' which is put through its paces by Skudkid, deploying gnarly electronic lead melodies and a colourful array of percussive jossles below for a serious system buster. On the flip Decrypt's grizzly rethink of 'Danger Time' sees a much more choppy approach come into play as a sharp lead synth piledrivers through the mix with some rave-ready energy. Powerful stuff indeed!

Review: Gunfingers at the ready gang, Lickwood & Gunshot fire up the shots with their biggest release to date; a 20 track stacked banger bonanza from some of the sharpest new shooters in town. It's business from the off as Visuals gets busy with the cantankerous kicks and sing-along vocals on "Lights Out" and it continues to hit the target right the way through to DJ Direkt's skittering, paranoid finale "Too Hawt". Highlight heat can be found in every corner across the collection; Pablo G gets all slinky in the jungle on "The Rumbler", Jomari's "Yuh Na Hear" is a lesson in restrained ruffage, B-Plexx's "Remedy" soothes the soul with its breathy vocal and bubbly bassline, the list goes on... See you down the target practice.
