Review: Toy Tonics continues to deliver the goods with Sound Support's sophomore EP, Everybody Knows. This follow-up to their chart-topping Higher EP is another masterclass in infectious house music that effortlessly blends the best of the 90s and 2000s. The EP showcases the incredible talents of Lars Dales from DAM SWINDLE and Lorenz Rhode, aka Sound Support. Dales, a Dutch house wizard and the mastermind behind Heist Recordings, brings his signature energy and production skills to the table. Rhode, a multi-instrumentalist and super producer who has worked with the likes of Purple Disco Machine, adds his unique touch with his keyboard wizardry and innovative arrangements. The EP kicks off with the title track, a playful and infectious tune that sets the tone for the rest of the release. The bouncy bassline and catchy melodies will have you hooked from the first listen. The subsequent tracks continue to impress with their energetic rhythms and clever arrangements. Review: Detroit/Dam Swindle's Lars Dales teams up once more with Germany's Lorenz Rhodes as Sound Support for this five-tracker on Let's Play House. Opener 'Mehari' is a lightly Afro-flavoured house workout, but the party only really gets started when the killer squelch bassline on 'Man Moving Arms' makes itself known. We're then treated to deep house jam 'Arigator' and the spaced-out 1:29 interlude that is 'Miller's Planet', before the EP's closed out by the Italo-inspired 'Detox Your Feelings', which is easily the EP's most uptempo and driving cut and sports some fine acidic bleepery - though 'Man Moving Arms' remains the standout.

Review: After releases on House Of Disco and Dirt Crew, Sound Support - AKA Lars Dale of Detroit Swindle fame, plus German DJ/producer Lorenz Rhode - return to Prins Thomas's Internasjonal with a four-track EP. 'Apollo 21' itself is a low-slung, funk-fuelled disco chugger with a nice fat, squelchy bottom end, 'Brownsfield' is a more dreamy, drifty, blissed-out affair, while 'Never Odd Or Even' brings the Italo/cosmic vibes. The standout for this reviewer is 'Tempest', which has the surging, pulsing euphoric energy of Italian house from the late 80s and early 90s, but any/all of the four should keep more leftfield/forward-thinking disco floors grooving nicely.

Review: Having made their collaborative debut as Sound Support a few months ago via a tasty EP on Internasjonal, Lars Dale and Lorenz Rhode join forces once more for a speedy sequel on House of Disco. There's plenty to enjoy throughout, from the Clavinet-happy cheeriness of opener 'Clavi On The Rocks' - a funky slab of disco/house fusion that also boasts some deliciously squelchy synths - to the analogue synth-bass driven boisterousness of similarly melodic and positive closing cut 'Enduro'. Sandwiched in between you'll find the deep synth-pop, throbbing Italo-disco fusion of 'Thesaurus Rex' - a kind of late '80s Pet Shop Boys B-side with a twist - and the synth-heavy excitement of piano-laden number 'Super Elevation'. Bravo!

Review: Sound Support may be a new name, but the producers behind it - Lorenz Rhode and Detroit Swindle's Lars Dale - both have bags of experience. That shines through on this debut outing for Internasjonal, which sees them bounce between rubbery and colourful boogie-house fusion (ear-catching, emotive and piano-rich opener 'Stab By Stab'), musically layered and life affirming deep house/Afrobeat fusion (the superb 'Europe')and a smooth, synth laden blend of deep house and D-Train style electrofunk ('Catwalk', whose rolling synth-bassline is immense). Label co-founder Prins Thomas applies his magic 'Discomiks' touch to 'Europe', offering a deeper and far more delay-laden interpretation that pushes the duo's acid lines and Tony Allen inspired drums to the fore.
