Amsterdam-based Italian producer Spaventi Dazzuro delivers a killer release for Aroy Dee's label. Lonely is not the place to look if you're in search of the new and unexplored, but it does see its author deliver two great hardware jams. "Lonely (Jerkoff Mix)" features the kind of raw, rugged drums Dee's mini-empire appears to hold an exclusive on; coupled with spacey synths and a grimy 303, it makes for a familiar but nonetheless intoxicating combination. Meanwhile, "Lonely (Crunchy Club Mix)" is a more jacking affair. This time, the drums are louder in the mix, but the way that the synth keys float over them makes it hard not to be seduced by Spaventi's unashamedly old school approach.
