Review: Although usually found on the Cadela label, for their latest missive Spleen have aligned themselves with the appropriately titled Back To The Balearics. It's true: this is the sound of pure white isle bliss, or at least in its original sense. There's three tracks to get lost in, all of which feature gentle live drums, hazy background noise, loose bass, fuzzy fenders and airy, only half-there vocals. The highlight here though, is wah-wah-heavy yearner "Fragments", even if we think it sounds like it should be soundtracking Judith Chalmers in an episode of Holiday '98.
