Review: Producer Andrei Idu has dubbed his new project Standard Model "the house re-incarnation of disco's Legendary 1979 Orchestra", the latter being the moniker that launched him back in 2010. Intended to "explore sound in relation with developments in particle and astro-physics," these six new cuts are pretty far-out alright. Highlights include the linear, but trippy, retro house joint "Outter Space (Galactic Dub)", the truly sublime, warped breakdance funk of "Nebula B-Boy" and the sleazy, squelchy grinder "Sizzle Leak" (if just for the name alone!).
