Review: This year saw Berlin clubbing institution Watergate turn 20 years old. To celebrate the milestone, they took the experience outside the club for a full weekend rave, plus the release of this mammoth 20 track compilation of new and unreleased tracks. Highlights come from legendary artists such as the ever reliable Henrik Schwarz who appears with the highly engineered soul of "You Need Attitude", veteran of the scene Sasha gets a seriously heads-down groove happening on "Wolf Cider", Hamburg maximal heroes Extrawelt deliver as expected on the hypnotising "Rover" and former Mobilee co-head Anja Schneider gets the hands in the air on the uplifting house of "Can't You See Me No More?' plus many others.

Review: Following the much anticipated release of "Freedom" on Watergate a few weeks ago, Milan"s Stephan Jolk is back with this riveting new effort for Matador"s Rukus imprint. The Afterlife staple delivers another dose of emotionally charged techno on "About My Dreams", awash in an rich sonic tapestry of mesmerising sounds, all underpinned by a pumping and adrenalised groove. Second offering "Flowers Of Evil" keeps the dancefloor drama in effect, similarly utilising strong melodic chord progressions for maximum euphoric effect.

This two-tracker is another dose of emotionally charged techno which has seen him become a staple of the Afterlife label in his native milan. A roaring Reese bassline underpins pitch-shifted vocals offering a powerful message throughout first offering "Freedom", while more dancefloor drama awaits on the immersive and mesmerising second offering "Moonlight Sun". It's another terrific release by Jolk which takes his intuitive approach to musical production to another level.
