Hold On (Richard Earnshaw Rebounce) - (7:36) 125 BPM Biggest-selling track on this release
Hold On (Soulfuledge remix) - (6:18) 125 BPM
Review: Duffnote are a south coast based label that, back in 2010, released the original package of Hold On by the mysterious B-AYACE to great success. Now they've decided to revisit the track, commissioning two new reworks to keep things fresh. First up, Richard Earnshaw's 'Rebounce" mix sees the tune streamlined into a tight and fizzy slice of deep, tech-house. Soulfuledge meanwhile, get frisky with the phasers and white noise swooshes on their 90s style handbag house rejig. Expect Hold On to dominate charts, playlists and dancefloors all over again in 2017.

Headless Horseman - "At The Gates" - (5:44) 128 BPM
Phase Fatale - "Under Marble" - (5:46) 130 BPM Biggest-selling track on this release
Stephanie Sykes - "Sakura" - (6:11) 128 BPM
Tommy Four Seven - "Bactria" - (5:30) 132 BPM
Review: The sixth split release on Tommy Four Seven's label is a diverse affair and reflects the across the board soundtrack of the Berlin night of the same name. 47006 starts with Headless Horseman's "At The Gates" a rumbling slice of stepping rhythms shot through with understated menace. Pushing up the tempo is Phase Fatale's "Under Marble" where cyber punk industrial collides with a pulsing groove. Straight after that Stephanie Sykes throws a curve ball with the hypnotic dub of "Sakura" while the label owner retreats to the shadows. Inhabiting the same space as the mysterious Headless Horsemen "Bactria" is a noisy grunge techno stepper

Review: Four years after Future Perfect, Ram's mighty Loadstar return with their second album I Need The Night. Has the wait been worth it? Of course it has. If anything, this is better than their debut due to its consistency and arrangement. With much more of a flow and dynamic, the duo previously known as Xample & Lomax, showcase their finest skills with a sense of boldness and breadth; from the all-out jump-up assault "All Junglists" and the brutal "Give Yourself" to the gospel-level soul burner "Walking On Water" and soft focus dreamer "Diamonds", this is Loadstar at their most confident and consistent, operating with total clarity.
