Review: Whenever we see Sukh Knight touch down on DAKU we know we are likely in for a very enjoyable time, with Shandy this time joining him for a fiery two-tracker. This is a link up we have seen pay dividends so many times over the years, with this latest motive being no different, opening up with the eerie melodic loops and crunchy drum work of 'Surj', a typically vibrant display from the two dubstep veterans. On the flip to this we then dive into the sounds of 'Unseen', a more tearout-style creation, focussing on hard hitting synthesiser growls and organic drum shuffles, giving us a pleasing juxtaposition between live and digital elements. It's another well thought out display from team DAKU, who have impressed once again.

Review: It's always a pleasure to hear new music from Sukh Knight, one of the most original sound smiths of the first dubstep age, who has continued to impress over the years with more and more weighty originals. He arrives on DAKU here with four such heaters, kicking off with the warbling low ends and springy chord progressions of 'Jigsaw', which sets us off in style. Next up, 'Aliens' ups the heat with a more reese-like combination of bass slides and alarm-like melodies, before Charan B arrives for some additional work on the flute-dripping delights of 'Red Alert'. Finally, a pace-change as 'TKC' dives into a much more trip-hop inspired arrangement, cooling the mould before rounding the EP off with a dash of finesse!

Review: Since the first massive rise in dubstep's popularity back in the 2000s, Sukh Knight has always stood out as one of the most unique names to do it, constantly infusing new, interesting sonic combinations into his hard hitting 140 creations. This latest two tracker with Nebula Music Group is another perfect example of that, with the writhing bass slides and crunchy drum processing of 'Hawk' giving us some serious dancefloor dynamite to enjoy. On the flip, the rhythms switch entirely as the scattered marching snares and swampy LFO squelches of 'Poison' deliver another impactful arrival, showing us that Sukh really is still at the top of his game!

Review: Well following on from a number of impressive dubstep events across the full spectrum of the scene, The Deep Heads team have matched that all with this incredible new compilation as they deliver the third edition of their incredible 'Deep Heads' series. This star-studded lineup is pretty breath-taking, with the likes of Kromestar, Biome, Om Unit, Sukh Knight, Synkro & more all delivering some serious bassweight. The tracklisting is made up of 24 wicked originals, with our favourites actually coming from some of the lesser established faces on the project. These include the likes of Mystic State's sumptuous 'Society' original alongside Astrid, which boasts serious 'Anti-Social' vibes. As well as this, the more stripped back, garage influenced drums of Clubroot's 'Harmony' and dancing percussion of 'Traps' from Escapism Refuge also sit as highlight picks for us!

Review: Sentry Records has put together some serious releases over the last few years, showcasing the latest and greatest in dubstep and its surrounding genres. We are therefore introduced to and absolutely storming compilation here as we reel off bangers from the likes of dubstep legends such as Caspa, Truth, Sukh Knight, Youngsta and more. For us, the highlights of this incredible compilation are quite clear, kicking off with the stunning production of 'Judas' from Nomine, who brings forward his uniquely metallic sound design on mass. Another absolute heater we couldn't forget is the spooky yet satisfying 'Crocodile' from Dayzero, packed with wicked drum flavours and haunted overtones.

Review: New World Audio have come at you with a single that includes a remix of both sides, turning this into a sick little EP which crosses a number of genre boundaries. 'Taser' is a dark, dubstep cut that features a rattling percussive line, slick background detailing and a suitably warm yet moody sub-bass line. DJ Squarewave is on remix duties and doesn't do a complete overhaul, yet injects a new sense of rowdiness with some additional kicks and a few new synth lines. 'Midnight Club' is heavier, for sure, grating basses sweep away the subtelty of the last for new pastures, Arkwright's remix then taking it in the opposite direction, back to the lands of space and contemplation. A very cool EP - don't miss out dubstep fans.

Review: Sukh Knight, an srtist not to be confused with the Cali hip-hop don, touches down on the Circle Vision imprint with five jaw-breaking slices of dubstep, and he sounds like he's in the mood to break some teeth along the way. "Scorpion" has a bass that will literally blow your canister off at high volumes, with both "Creation" and "First Contact" following upon that with different variations grizzly, distorted low frequencies. The remix comes from DJ Madd 160, who turns "Scorpion" into more of a footwork-led belter, whereas the closing "Foot Soldiers" is an unashamedly potent cascade of bro-bass that sounds a little too close to total fallout. YES!

Review: The New World Audio regulars team up for a collaborative effort and produce a startling 2-tracker that's bound to turn more than a few heads. Sukh Knight goes for a deep and meditative ninja slasher on "Pai Mei Technique", aligning shredded, minimal bass tones with stuttering, flexible percussion stabs, whereas Shandy and RDG's "Fate" takes the samurai slashing to the next level thanks to their inimitable, stop-start motion approach - sublime and heavily recommended.
