Review: Ring the alarm! Sound the klaxon! Fire up the "Siren"... Liondub go into remix overload with this immense version collection. 12 different twists of the Suku & Spyda-fronted dancehall damager, we're spoilt for choice but highlights include the sheer hell-raising of Serial Killaz, the gut-punching drums and grunty bass of Benny Page, the moody halftime sleaze of L-Side and the smoky beats and classic mid 90s hip-hop feels of Bluntskull. But that's not even half of the creativity on offer here. Get ready to Rumble...
Review: Calling all gyalists! Rumble, Mr Lexx and Suku Ward have teamed up on Liondub International for a carnival-ready dancehall jammer "Gyalis" which is flipped in a multitude of ways by some of the best in the game; Filip Motovunski gets his low-slung swagger on, UK hip-hop legends The Nextmen get busy on the bashy tip, Lost City finds his way with a powerful tribal halftime twist while Sao Paulo's finest L Side provides the headshot with the immense roller version. Think "Night Flight" on a ragga vibe and you're in the right dance.
Sotto Bless - "Sticky" (Prod Liondub) - (4:20) 88 BPM
Suku Ward - "Global" (Prod Liondub) - (4:12) 88 BPM
Liondub - "Sticky Riddim" - (4:13) 88 BPM
Review: Futuristic reggae champions Liondub International make a fabulous return here as they bring together three highly rated newschool toasters for some fresh heat over the 'Sticky Riddim'. We kick off with Sotto Bless's moody vocal stylings and and almost chanted lyricism on his cut entitled 'Sticky'. Following this we plunge into Suku Ward's intense vocal cut by the name of 'Global'. Both artists bring a unique take to the riddim, of which the instrumental version is also included in the full release package, making this a must have for any fan of future reggae music.
