The drums on Kumarachi, Veak & RMS's "In Spirit" will slice bones in two, Conrad Subs "Inglorious" will have you on such a heads down hypnotic trip you'll think it's 97 all over again, Epicentre's "One Eight Seven" is a total murderation station the second that Micky Finn & Aphrodite-style bass juice oozes out of the speakers while Veak's idea of alternative medicine isn't so much as homeopathic but psychopathic as the steppy kills drill into the deepest corners of your soul. Review: Shocking scenes at Dubsoul Recordings this week as anonymous jungle operator Sureshock dented their discography with explosive results. Eye witnesses at the mastering studio provided accounts of high voltage low end frequencies electrocuting people at first listen on "Reasons To Live", samurai swords cutting through speakers and slicing jugulars on "Cut Throat Dub" and ghouls rising through the mixing desk on "Spooks". With a previous criminal record on the likes of Dread, 117, Asbo and Machinist, and no known whereabouts right now, the public are warned to stay safe and shock the hell out at all possible opportunities. Banging? You can be sure of it!

Review: More VA manoeuvres from the perennial Natty camp. The label has recruited new names and they're all packing ammo. Label bosses Cabin Fever reboot with old sparring partner Saxxon for an electrified brock-out "Clubhopper" before four acts make their label debut: DJ Hybrid applies a skillishly simplistic and highly timeless bassline stepper, Version cooks up with rattling wasps-in-tin bassline and warped retro sci-fi tones, Sureshock looks to the stars through a pair of Klute's glasses and a soaring big system vocal, while Kenji twists up with a serious space jam.
