Review: Tommy Four Seven's label celebrates five years of releasing uncompromising techno with this fine compilation. It gets off to a clubby start with Killawatt's rumbling, tribal "Champagne Prerogative", while on "Threads", Carrier drops a Regis-style broken beat stepper that resounds to rumbling bass and ghostly textures. Meanwhile, Headless Horseman occupies the middle ground between straight techno and stepping rhythms on the multi-layered, mesmerising "Sand Mountain". NN takes this approach to its brutal, logical conclusion on the electronic feedback and cranium crushing kicks of "Deception", while the label owner teams up with Ancient Methods to deliver the pounding industrial rhythm and static crackle percussion of "XIX".

Review: Simon Hayes aka Swarm Intelligence makes his debut on Tommy Tommy Four Seven's label with this pile-driving EP. 47022 starts in intense form with the skull-crushing broken beats and bleak sound scapes of "Infinite Destiny". "Retribution" follows in a similar vein, with Hayes dropping disturbing shrieks and howls against the backdrop of visceral bass licks that drop in and out of the arrangement. "Chromium Chambering" is slightly less frenetic, but at this slower pace, Hayes has an even freer hand to explore darker tones and blasts of visceral electronic noise. The aptly named "Dismal" closes out the release with sucker punch drums mapping out the path for a dirge-y arrangement.

Review: Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the Berlin label has tapped its 'beloved family members, favourite artists and bestest friends' for this compilation. Certainly, it's an impressive line-up. MMM, the studio partnership between Fiedel and Errorsmith, delivers the insane acid of "Infinity Crash", Neil Landstrumm teams up with Brian Rays for a master class in wonky techno on "Talkin' Shit" and there are brilliantly moody, bass-heavy tracks from the likes of Swarm Intelligence and Poison Green. This being a Killekill release, there is no shortage of madness on offer, and Dez Williams delivers the deranged industrial banger, "Lord Prophet", while hardcore legend The Mover drops the chilling "Final Distance". Here's to another ten years.

Review: Killekill associated imprint Krake have got something pretty special for their debut release - a diverse and fulfilling compilation of some of the most interesting electronic artists of the moment, ranging from techno to IDM and beyond. This is one for you to check out piece by piece but we thought we'd pick out a few tasty ones to get your juices flowing: Pole makes a rare appearance with the beautiful, dubbed-out half-steps of "Wipfel Dub", Cassegrain's "Serpent" is a fast-winding, semi-techno banger complete with one of the nastiest basslines since Surgeon's "Krautrock"; meanwhile Perc comes in with his pulsating techno camaraderie and Lakker's "Darcdub" is just militantly insane. All in all, a fantastic, wide-ranging compilation of new material from some of the darkest minds out there - check the other, lesser known faces too. We're certainly looking forward to the next chapter of Krake...
