Review: A decade has now passed since Bicep launched their label, Feel My Bicep, and in that time they've released countless EPs from talented producers based on the island of Ireland. Here's another, which comes courtesy of sometime Shall Not Fade and Lost Palms artist - and Shine Belfast resident - Swoose. Title track 'Breathe' is utterly gorgeous: an enveloping, immersive, tactile and wide-eyed slab of sunrise-ready deep house colour rich in kaleidoscopic chords, shuffling breakbeats, deep bass and ear-pleasing lead lines. On 'Hyphae', Swoose doffs a cap to vintage Orbital releases, peppering an early-to-mid-90s UK techno groove with gorgeous melodies and even more picturesque pads. The accompanying remixes are excellent, too, with Kessler's breakbeat hardcore-goes-deep house tweak of 'Breathe', and Peach's rubbery, near 140 BPM rework of 'Hyphae' both hitting the spot.

Review: Next up from the Shall Not Fade crew, we see a fabulous display of futuristic dance music flavour as Adam BFD is joined by a wavy collection of various artists for his self titled unmixed project. Featuring 14 vibrant original creations from himself and his fabulous supporting cast, which features the likes of Earth Trax, Interplanetary Criminal, Shadow Child & more, alongside a wicked continuous mix version of the full tracklisting. There are some seriously innovative creations across this collection, with our ears being immediately drawn to the spacious soundscapes of 'Sonar', the euphoric backdrops of 'I've Been Waiting' and the tumultuous percussive tap dances of 'Zero-Sum Game' from Otik, which shows just how wide the range is for this wicked collection. Excellent work all around!

Review: Shall Not Fade rounds off its busiest year to date with a sixth anniversary compilation that's packed to the rafters with previously unreleased tracks from its now sizable family of artists. Also reflective of the sounds showcased by Shall Not Fade's various sub-labels and offshoots, the 24-track set confidently strides between deep two-step (Black Loops), saucer-eyed ambient jungle (Kessler), colourful deep house (Lis Sarocca), lo-fi jack tracks (Cinthie), loopy disco-house (Adelphi Music Factory), jazz-funk flavoured house warmth (Felipe Gordon), analogue-rich broken beat (Yosh), post-UKG heaviness (DJ Crisps), jaunty and jazzy 4/4 garage (DJ Swagger) and the kind of smile-inducing, huggable dancefloor goodness that defies simple categorization (Tilman and Phonk D).

Review: Somewhat surprisingly, Danny 'Swoose' Simpson has not released a solo single (or album, for that matter) since making his debut on Made Fresh Daily way back in the summer of 2013. He's clearly been productive in that time, though, because this pleasingly melodious and atmospheric comeback single contains some of his strongest music to date. He begins via the drowsy Rhodes chords, twinkling lead lines, robust electronic motifs and skittish machine drums of "Introspective", before exploring more feverish, hallucinatory deep house territory on the neo-trance influenced "Musa". Elsewhere, "Smile" is a lolloping slab of hazy jazz-house deepness, while "Lotus" is an acid-flecked skip through DJ Seinfeld/DJ Boring style breakbeat-driven deep house dreaminess.
