Review: Ballerballer can be found somewhere in the grey area where techno, acid house and electro meet. The arrangement has a straight 4/4 backing track, but the truly powerful element is the pulsing, acid-soaked bassline that rises and ebbs, taking the listener through the dark alleys once inhabited by Black Strobe. "Traum_a" is a more European sounding affair; the rhythm is linear and cut up by stop-start, hissing percussion, but there is some reference to house music's past, with the drops into heavy acid and dramatic chords accompanied by heavy claps and rattling kettle drums. It's a case of a few steps forward and one step back.
