Review: Purple City have delivered us a monumental collection here, as they invite the legendary production mastery of T.Williams inside for a deep dive into the evolution of the UK veteran's sound, delivering 12 outstanding original creations across the garage and funky spectrum. From the gnarly LFO crunches of 'Step In 2' to the junglist-based nostalgia of 'She Loves' and more dubstep inspired drum bounces of 'T4000', this project is a true homage to the T.Williams journey and is undeniably best absorbed in long form listening format. Our highlights have to include the raucous, grime-infused breaksy chops of 'Love All You Squares', next to the roots-style samples of 'Garvey Words' and furious jungle-style chops of 'Aggy'. A truly awesome collection.
