Review: As ever, Punks have only gone and delivered a bombshell with this one as they unveil the third edition of their super celebrated 'BBQ Beats' series, featuring 20 outstanding break-inspired original creations. The roster for this one is pretty outstanding as we see the likes of Taim, Aurbs, Leda Stray, Jay Robinson, Plump DJs, Mafia Kiss and a tonne more join forces with label founders: Stanton Warriors for a fantastic display. Although this one really is jam packed, our immediate standouts would have to include the subtle subs and percussive licks of 'Love Theory' from Aylen, alongside Daze Prism's super techy 'Further', a spicy original indeed. Amazing work overall.

Review: We were very excited to see TAIM make his return to the rampaging Saucy imprint alongside the mesmerising vocal presence of LO for 'Signs'. We most certainly have a banger on our hands as TAIM lays down and emotive soundscape, providing the perfect platform for LO to let her vocal tones run wild, before descending into a grizzly breakdown. On remix duty we are treated to an array of top draw names, including Khesis who strips the track back into a more subtle breakbeat arrangement. Next up, Tengu arrives on the scene with a big room heater, lead by grizzly lead synths and crunchy drums. Finally, Axel Boy gets choppy with his rework, focussing on gliding bass tones and hopping rhythms.

Review: Punks, the label run by Stanton Warriors is largely known for some seriously edgy tuneage, but here the label shows its sensitive side with the more melodic "Overtime" by Manchester's Taim. Clocking in at five and half minutes, the original version features super glossy sing-along choruses' courtesy of Thulani that get mischievously interrupted by some sweet techy bass action. Remix-wise, Barely Royal & Bunnie deliver some club-friendly UKF, Mitekiss revisits the intelligent DnB of the 90s and Jay Robinson turns in some fiercely excellent tech/fidget-house. Lastly Aurbs pitches up the vocals for some boomy melancholic RnB.
