If you're unaware of T.B Arthur, you're not alone. To date, the mysterious producer has released a handful of singles, mostly in ludicrously limited quantities, with little or no information. Here, he (or she) pops up on Argot for the first time, delivering a trio of cuts that swap intense acid and bustling techno for murky textures and tribal-influenced drum rhythms. A-side "Drum Thoughts" sets the tone, channelling some kind of dark, late night voodoo via intense, African-influenced drums, sparse melodies and dubwise textures. "Second Thoughts" is a more straightforward techno chugger - albeit with lashings of ghostly spookiness - while "First Thought" sits somewhere between classic dub house, murky tech-house and rolling techno.
