Review: French disco-house duo Teenage Bad Girl team up with effortlessly cool Baltimore star Rye Rye for this intriguing collaboration, which comes replete with some huge remixes. "X Girl" frames Rye Rye's high-pitched flow around a tight stew of warped Linn drums, popping basslines and 80s pads for full-on disco fun. The masterful Alan Braxe however goes one better, lending his trademark sound to a wonderful mix that puts the vocals upfront over a soulful disco/boogie sample. Bart Bmore picks up the tempo with yet another hyped mix that fits Rye Rye's vocals over a Dutch beat complete with a gritty and addictive bassline. Add in Polymorphic's heavy dubstep/electro mix, as well as a brace of instrumentals, and you've got a very tasty release indeed.
