Review: Teezy slaps us hard with this bouncy four pack on Boujee B. Always revealing different shades to his style, 'Click Clack' sees him double down on the classic bassline dancefloor vibe where the focus is on the lower end of the riffs. Highlights galore on here but the big winner is 'Forfeit' with its retro 8-bit spiralling vibe. Game over. Elsewhere 'Rave Request' is giving us the 1UP of our lives and 'Bread Rack' is a bonus secret level thanks to its surreal sample sense of mischief. Teezy's flexing right here.

Review: Following releases on the likes of Bruised and PullUp, Teezy joins the dodgy murk monsters at Pick The Lock for his biggest release so far - Hang Fire. Comprising six sessions of savage bassline grot, each of these cuts reinforces Teezy on the map as an artist to keep strict tabs on. Highly adept at dancefloor meltery, highlights include the ominous grumbles and floor-shaking weight of 'Want', the string-heightened drama of 'Venom' and the eerie liminal glow of the finale 'Refrain'. Fire in the hole!

Review: Broadcasting live from Bruised HQ, a fiery six track effort from Teezy & Roche, who have joined forces to deliver a fearsome display of futuristic D&B energy here. Opening up with the tidily designed synthetic rumbles of 'Frequency', a title track that sets the tone perfectly with its clean approach to production. This is followed quickly by the murky synthetic scrapes of 'Sacrifice' and the eerie vocal pressures of 'Rebirth', which are reworked into an almost heart-monitor type rhythm, before 'Call & Response' deploys a devastating array of reesey goodness. To round off, the bouncing synth plucks of 'Euphoria' arrive firstly, giving us another uniquely designed thumper, with the singalong vocal hooks and lethal bass growls of 'Plunge' then rounding off the project with a final dash of panache. Awesome work

Review: Destination NYC: Liondub International look back over their last year of releases with this almighty 25 track collection of highlights. As always with Liondub's broad and highly international church, the vibes go the full flex from classic dancehall jungle to epic jump-up tear-ups. Highlights include Bladerunner's savage Amen assault 'Jungle Strike', the big vocal licks and even big bassline snorts of JNGL's remix 'Worldwide' and Original Sin's absolutely despicable twist on the Riko Dan-front 'War Ting'. And that's just the tip of this junglistic iceberg. Don't sleep on this one!

Review: Following a whole slew of releases on labels such as Pick The Lock, Debunked, Allstars, Liondub International in recent months, Teezy returns to Kingpin, one of the earliest labels to support his music, with this high grade four-piece collection. Forever fine-tuning his precision produced sound, here we find him in a wide range of flavours... 'Reboot' takes us deep into the future with a sonorous, tubular bassline, 'Status' flexes Teezy's minimal muscles with dramatic effect while 'Confront' goes for that dirtier funk flavour. Finally 'Profound' closes the EP on a mean and moody one. Classic Teezy tactics. Reboot and play all over again.

Review: Crash bang wallop: yung Teezy's smashing up the system with this massive 'Demolition' derby on Pick The Lock. Six cuts in all, each one twisted in its own special Teezy way. The title track is pure croaks (some say it was made of 10,000 dead frogs but we think some toads got in the mix, too) while other highlights include the stuttering, slamming smash-up 'Represent', the floating tones and gentle uplift of the intro of 'Flux' and the yearning, woozy soulful jilts and twists of 'Baby'. Get wrecking.

No gambling necessary; each cut is a big time winner as Teezy slaps us with groove after groove. Killer rounds include the chainsaw-like chug and menacing energy of 'Rigid', the crispy synths and pranged out textures of 'Minimal Instinct' and the flattening weight of 'Bad Rasta'. Roll again?

Review: Don't ask us how Teezy's managed to get trapped on a label that can apparently pick any lock but these are the type of messed up times in which we live. Luckily the music is just as messed up; 'Trapped' itself is an oscillating freak-out where a whole weave of basslines twist and turn into each other while 'Hold Up' is all about the loose, flabby bassline and swaggering beats. Elsewhere 'Sense' purrs into action with menacing charm before 'Malfunction' closes the EP with the most off-beat textures and fluctuations of the release. Already supported by the likes of Noisia, Teezy's not going to be trapped for much longer.
