Review: In all honesty, we are running out of words to describe the pure domination we are seeing from the Duploc camp, especially with their output thriving heavily in 2023's unique dubstep ecosystem. For this latest offering, they celebrate their 100th official drop with a regal arrangement of guests, including the likes of Lost, Wraz, Rugby, Ternion Sound, ENiGMA Dubz and more, all of whom have pulled out their weightiest weapons in combined celebration. If you wanted a full on display of the majesty currently at work within dubstep's deep catacombs, then look no further than this epic selection, with our favourites including the ground mulching bass melodies of Hebbe's 'The Insider', next to Mystic State's warming rework of 'Voice' from Opus, and of course Hamdi's rave-ready synth action explored within 'Immortal'. There aren't many collectives doing more than the Duploc team right now.

Review: It's safe to say that across the now, global sphere of dubstep fandom, there aren't many imprints that can boast as much weight as Duploc, who have hear delivered yet another awesome compilation, as '140% DUBSTEP' sees them welcome a number of their heaviest hitter onside for a truly vibrant display. Featuring the likes of Ternion Sound, Roklem & Sebalo, 11th Hour, Substrada and Gnasha to name a few, they have pulled out all the stops to deliver a truly raucous collection. This project primarily explore the dingier side of the dubstep sphere, with the VIP mix of SBK's 'One Man' providing an eerie, string driven thump, alongside Merricat Black's creepy squelcher in 'Whistler's Paradise' and the drum-heavy rhythms of Dusty's 'Grug'. Our highlights would have to include both the system shaking synth slaps of Elidan's 'Nar' original, alongside the innovative sampling approach of Handsome Tigers' 'Baile Dub'. This is a collection any dubstep fanatic is going to want to own.

Review: There is now slowing the Ternion Sound wave this year as they unveil yet another killer collection, this time coming to us courtesy of DUPLOC, stitching together a potent five track display. The title track 'Tactics' is a hard hitting fusion or warbling bass whistles and crunchy drum expressions, constantly switching in rhythm and style, before the more brightened backdrops and reverberated drum slaps of 'Strobe' give us a different side of Ternion's story. From here, a more 2-step influenced idea of 'Cloud 9', which uses high energy drum skips in combination with chiming melodies for a very unique creation, with the harsher sub reeses and crunchy LFO slams of 'Vision Quest' giving us a final dash of goodness. We then round off the project in collaborative mode, with Lost lending a hand on the grizzly synthetics of 'Catacombs', a potent closer dripping with original steppers heat.

Review: Across the last 10 years, there aren't many platforms that have given as much energy, time and dedication towards the dubstep scene than Duploc, a platform and entity committed to the betterment and advancement of the original dubwise sound. This collection is a fabulous showcase of the strength they posses as both a label and promotional platform, with 10 of the best delivering absolute weapons, from the swampy bass reverberations of Infekt's 'Kefir', to the Bond-esc bass grooves of Tactics from Ternion Sound and dizzying soundscaping of Juss B's 'Can't Sleep'. The overall project is just dripping in quality, with the likes of ENiGMA Dubz, Oxossi, Mungk, Smith. and Ourman all hard hitting creations. Our highlights have to include the metallic masterclass of Distance's 'Vigilance', showcasing one of the scenes eternal heavyweights, next to the slickly designed sub crunches and bouncy percussive overloads of Hebbe's 'Quotha'. Incredible work and an incredible way to celebrate such an important institution.

Review: The Deep Dark & Dangerous team have always shown a lot of respect for the Ternion Sound boys, who once again return in blistering form with this super crunchy collection. First up, 'Clutch' takes the title role, formulating metal-infused guitar synths and aerated backdrops, before the unorthodox sound design of 'Tralfamadore' sends us down an entirely different side-street of syncopated madness. From here, the tap dancing melodic dips of 'Let Me Out' are unleashed across a seriously eerie backdrop, before we trip and slide into another ditch of delightful unorthodox synthesiser design, as high pitched LFO's are left to run wild a top a mean sub line and delicate drum textures. Excellent work!

Review: For the third edition of their highly respected '140 ALLSTARS' series, The DUPLOC team have assembled a stunning selection for us to sink our teeth into. We open up this six track episode with the heavyweights of our time: Ternion Sound. They land in stunning form as '422' delivers a monstrous piece of synthetic mastery across a couple of spooky melodic backdrops to ramp up the pressure from the jump. Next, Substrada takes things to the swamps as 'Flexer' combines crunchy percussion with jittery bass drives, with Q100 unleashing a much more subtle weapon next in 'BDN', focussing on tidy hi-hat melodies and hard hitting bass action below. We get even wonkier next as Pharma lets the circus loose on the super syncopated dissonance of 'Umbra', with DubDiggerz then delivering a punch of subby heat with an Asian twist in 'Silly'. Finally, 207 arrives with 'Pressure Point', an unpredictable nest of creepy melody and industrial drum stabs to round us off with a dash of additional individuality.

Review: The Duploc crew have always had a real ability to pull together an impressive compilation project. This latest selection sees a bag of VIP mixes being brought into the fold, with the likes of SBK, Ternion Sound, JSM, Oddkut, ENiGMA Dubz and more all unleashing some heavyweight reworks of previously released heaters. In typical Duploc style, the whole project is absolutely teething with hard hitting basslines, with 11th Hour's 'Immortals' overhaul being an immediate jump out, with this creeping melodic drifts and stripped back drum work to match. We are also a big fan of Woven Thorns' 'Hidden Blade' rework, which again slaps you in the face with some hellish melodic manoeuvres, alongside the full VIP mix of 'Harpy' from Ourman, who turns an already impressive original into something even more magnificent with some unique melodic design and stuttering percussion to match. Excellent work once again!

Review: It's always an exciting thing to see the Duploc team leap into action, with this new compilation entitled 'BLXCKTXPES' being a ferocious way to kick start 2022. Featuring a range of artists, this project explores the underbelly of dubstep's most grizzly soundsmiths, with the likes of Infekt, Ternion Sound, Mesck, MYTHM, Wraz, Substrada & Widow all playing vital roles and supplying us with sub-shaking originals, adding even more firepower to Duploc's already stacked arsenal of a catalogue. Our highlights for this one would have to include the floating synthesizer sweeps and angelic pad textures of Ternion Sound's 'Vision Quest', which again gives us a fabulous journey through more mellow dubstep themes, alongside the unpredictable percussive twists and aggressive string designs of 'Smile Lines' from Oxossi. What a selection it is!

Review: It's been a monstrous year for the Ternion Sound trio, who here return for one final dosage of dubstep delight, welcoming three experienced sonic-surgeons inside for a set of tasty 'Dovetail' remixes. First on the list, we take a look at Kursa's electronic overhaul, focussing heavily on grizzly electronic pulsing basses and scattered breakbeat-style drum switches, giving the whole track a truly shocking feel. Next, the infamous Bukez Finezt delivers a system-busting recreation, showcasing the pure genius of Bukez' synthetic thought process and abstract rhythmic ideas. Finally, the legendary Reso makes his return to give 'Dovetail' a jungle-inspired overhaul, focussing in on industrial bass sounds and scattered drum designs to unleash a seriously potent original, rounding out the EP with a splash of high-tempo finesse. Excellent work.

Review: The Ternion Sound crew are back in business, and as ever with a Manuka release, they have this time come at the EP building process with something a little bit different in mind. We begin with a breaks-inspired epic with 'The Summoning', a gorgeous display of rhythmic prowess and top quality drum arrangement, delivering an extra dash of flavour through it's spacey pad harmonics in the upper frequencies. Next, Vandull jumps onto the tour bus for a wicked vocal collaboration of 'Watch', unleashing a devilish display of high energy lyricism and rave-ready flows atop another breaksy driver of an instrumental. From here, we hear a more interesting twist on the breaksy sound as a heavily pitched vocal line takes a lead role alongside more nostalgic chord progressions on 'Just Want U Close', before the Benga-like bleeps and eerie pad textures of 'Illusory Contours' see out the EP with a dash of dubstep flavour for good measure.

Review: Well when we say Duploc are on fire, we couldn't be more accurate than on this latest link up as ENiGMA Dubz is joined by a fabulous host of friends for two incredible remix creations. First up, ENiGMA himself steps forward on remix duty for 'Wayside', originally crafted by the combined talents of Hebbe, Melle & Mr.K. He twists and reformats this one into a haunted basin of horror-core synth work and delicate drum tap dances, giving us something truly unique. On the flip, the inevitable Ternion Sound arrive just in time to send 'The Eyes' through the remix blender, unleashing an earth shattering combo of bass pulses and flamboyant LFO swipes, providing a potent match for the A-side. Awesome stuff!

Review: Over the past few years, there haven't been many labels or dubstep-centric projects who have been able to keep as up to date with the scene as a whole then the legendary Duploc. They came together for this new compilation project with the title 'Identity Of Dubstep', exploring the best of their previous creations. There's no doubting this one's potent tracklisting, which features corkers from the archives with artists such as ENiGMA Dubz, Juss B, SBK, Surreal, Ternion sound, Dalek One & more providing fearsome additions. As this is a compilation to celebrate the full depth of the label's catalogue, we felt it important to highlight tracks that may slip past people, with our favourites including the grizzly LFO expressions of Sweepa's 'The Circle', alongside the wonky rhythms and downright dirty bass designs of Sam Cosmic's 'Stickin Ona Rock', which again explores the more raucous side of the dubstep spectrum. A fantastic anthology of dubstep flavour.

Review: Now we have known just how good Ternion Sound are for a hot minute, so seeing them link up with the impeccable Duploc dons for a collaborative four tracker was always going to be an enjoyable experience. First up, they welcome ENiGMA Dubz inside for the monstrous bass design and lethal synthesizer action of 'The Engineers' before the themes shift to a much more melodic place on 'Mediator' which sees Opus arrive with a smashing introduction, doused in blippy pad textures throughout. Next, Lost joins the party for the gnarly LFO designs we find within 'Catacombs', a system-busting original perfect for the 5AM ravers, before the haunting synth pulses and twisted dissonant harmonics of 'Heart Machine' give us a hard-hitting closer. It's Ternion at their best and we can't get enough.

Review: We have often spoken about how excited we are to hear new Infernal Sounds projects, with today's being the cherry on the top of a very exciting year so far. Having had them as guests on The JunoDownload podcast, we knew this drop was going to be a bit crazy, as they unveil twelve storming originals from some of the biggest names to grace the label, including the likes of Fiend, Causa, Bukkha, J:Kenzo, Sabab, Ternion Sound & more, all delivering power dubstep creations and upping the levels from one track to the next. The entire tracklisting is crazy, but our standouts would have to include firstly the warbling synthesizer rattles of Nova's 'Calivate', a storming original that really hits home on where dubstep is today. We would also have to include the gnarly electronic melodies of 'Gutta' from Dark Tantrums, alongside the more subtle chord structures and syncopated bliss of Oxossi's 'Wyldin'.

Review: It has been very hard for anyone to keep pace with the Manuka imprint in recent times as their incredible run of super-popular releases continues to rage on, this time welcoming some of the label's regular performers inside for a four-track compilation drop. We begin our dive with a look at the twisted percussive manoeuvres and aquatic atmospheric pressures of 'Guilty' from Biome, before we recognize Rakjay's catchy vocal additions over the fluttering arpeggios of 'Lowe It', produced by label founder: Hypho. From here we move into Ternion Sound's contribution in 'There Is A Cost', a sweeping breaksy display of power, before Xakra unleashes his synthetic wonders on 'Some Of Us' to see the EP out in style.

We begin with the hypnotic synth twists and amazonian atmospheric delays of 'The 14th', which unleashes a raucous display of percussive power, before 'Parasite VIP' delivers an outstanding piece of dirty dubstep production. Review: We want to know what's in the water up there in Manchester, because the Manuka team seem to not be putting a foot wrong with their recent releases, including this corking new three tracker from Ternion Sound, who send the garage sound to the blender across some incredibly original creations. We begin with 'Exploration 52', a futuristic slice up of garage themes, stuffed with groovy melodic switch ups and an unpredictable selection of beatstops, keeping the ravers on their toes start to finish. Next up, 'Spiral' deploys a much more dungeon-like vibe as big, bulky kick drums clear the way for catchy synth jolts and high ended melody lines. Finally, the cherry that belongs atop the cake emerges with the raucous breakbeat designs of 'Find & Kill', an instant explosion of rave-ready dynamite, rounding this one off with a bang!

Review: Alix Perez's 1985 sets the bar again... Edition 3 is another instalment of their spotless V/A series which covers the label's broad range of shades. This one is a game of two halves as the first five tracks flex around the 140 region with crucial slabs from Halogenix's Lordel alias and dubstep men of the moment Ternion Sound. Meanwhile the second half flips to D&B with a whole clutch of impressive designs; Visages' "Memories" is a mournful stepper, Bredren get bad-ass with the thumpy, bumpy "Only One", Machinedrum brings some outstanding soul on "Braided Leaves" and Perez delivers three of his finest. Bring on Edition 4.

Review: We are huge fans of the Duploc movement here at Juno Download, especially when they continue to roll out projects as powerful as this one as they unveil twelve war-inspired remixes. The roster they boast is outstanding, with the likes of Pushloop, ENiGMA Dubz, Rygby, Ourman and more all getting involved with some tasty overhaul involvement. For us there are two clear standouts from this one, including Ternion Sounds subtle yet hard hitting refix of 'The Eyes' from ENiGMA Dubz, alongside Dalek One's glitch-driven reimagining of 'Seek War', originally put together by Ghostek. This is Duploc at their absolute best and we can't get enough!

Review: It appears, to nobody's surprise, that Ternion Sound have gone and done it again, landing on the dubstep behemoth: Deep Dark & Dangerous for a scrumptious four track offering. We begin with a dive into the incredibly punchy drum work and eerie melodic twists of the title track 'Know Thyself', followed my the more harmonic journey of 'Hallowed'. The drum design throughout this EP is pretty flawless, with the scattered marching rhythms of 'Ah Fer Fuck' giving us a real injection of energy before 'They're Coming' deploys a monstrously mighty set of bass tones and percussive manoeuvres to round things off nicely.

Review: With Duploc now being very well established as one of the most important platforms in the dubstep scene, we are very pleased to see them return with another new release, this time inviting Ternion Sound in for three tracks of dubby flavour. We begin our dive into this one by plunging into the subby structures of 'Forest Temple', packed with potent bassweight designs and spooky atmospherics, followed by the robust metallic lashings of 'Up Up'. Next, we take a stroll into the lethal VIP mix of 'Verify Me', which boasts more potent sub flavours, along with the additional VIP version of 'Yellow & Grey', an LFO driven ball of melodic flavours and crunchy grooves.

Review: Johnny Foreplay, Apparition and Nostalgia's collective force continues to thrust through 2018; following seismic sessions on Duploc and Dunk N Dirty Dubz comes this precision three piece on Chestplate. Taking us on a perfect trip through the most exciting corners of modern dubstep, the US trio kick off with a powerful rubber ball bass instant reload shockout that is "Hopeless" before getting all weirded out and theatrically dystopian on "Loft Dub" before being bid adieu by "Morgawr" a twinkling rolling wonder that perches high up on the wave scale. Hopeful.
