'Sober' is your straight up demon jump-up. 150% proof weight and a swagger so strong it could wake the dead, it's one of Tesen's most industrial strength tracks to date. Review: Last spotted on Drumsound & Bassline Smith's Technique (and, before that, streaming live sets with an IRL live drummer) Tesen has definitely made his mark on 2020. Throw in his most comprehensive release to date on Liondub International and you've got yourself some serious talent right here. Highlights include the screaming harmonics and raw tension of 'Ignite', the wonky funk and juicy subs of 'Final Straw' and the UK-style slammage drums and big horn theatre of the album-only exclusive cut 'Wookie'. Turn that growl upside down.

Review: Ten years and 40 releases deep, Eternal Muzic let loose with their biggest VA album to date. Running the full jump-up range from bouncy to savage tear-out, some of the label's closest allies are all on side including DJ Sly, Tesen, Runnah and Krusty who appears multiple times across the album with some of the most provocative jams of the collection like the 2012-era harmonic riffage of "Need You" and the gnarly, flabby bass 'head-banging' finale. Review: After a dizzying year of releases on the likes of Walking Dead, Down 2 Earth, Cr8, Crucast and Low Down Deep's sister label Subway Soundz, Tesen steps up to the mother imprint with this naughty little doublet. "Don't Wake Me Up" is a Macky-esque riff stomper with big positive feels in the synths and chords and a savage bassline matching every epic melodic up and down. Showing his true contrasts and skills, "Alive With You" sees Tesen teaming up with Pyrax for something much deeper and sensual. Purring with rolling cosmic soul, it's another reminder of Tesen's superb skills. We anticipate another dizzying year for him.

Review: Cre8 Dnb Music are one of the most prolific jump-up labels around. We regularly feature their releases and they almost always smash it out of the park, this time being no different. Tesen's Planet Earth is a fiery EP that epitomizes the type of jump-up, but also slightly different flavours as well, that, in more ways than one, has defined D&B over the past couple of years - no-nonsense, uncompromising and proudly nonchalant about what you think. It's just pure attitude, dancefloor- based music at its best and music that simply does what it wants, there's no pretentiousness or image-orientated concerns - it's just D&B. Big, big tunes.

The wavering synth-line on the title track opens us up and leads into some filthy, filthy Macky Gee-esque bass synths that rumble all the way down. 'Clanger' keeps up the charge and bloody hell, it's big. 'Clipper' creeps in on the intro with some well-made synth lines, the riotous kick drum bringing us back to those gnarly basses, the same basses that finish up the EP on 'Digital Communication' in spectacular fashion.

Review: Down 2 Earth Musik have a bit of a reputation for spewing out some of the most venomous beats in the business and their talent for pushing some of the best unknown artists on the jump-up spectrum is undeniable. Tesen is holding up that standard and he's doing it in style, something clear right from the start of this single. 'Funk Soul Brother' reels you in with a lovely halftime intro, it's downtempo beginnings quickly regressing to a wall of pure energy that's reminiscent of Kings of the Rollers and insanity more generally. The B-side is equally aggressive, with 'Desire' featuring Hizzleguy absolutely tearing things apart. Yes boys!

Review: Now recovered from his sleep paralysis, rising new-gen bass monster Tesen returns to Young Guns with another comprehensive and generous EP. Detailed, dangerous and heavy to the very end, "Deep Analysis" takes us on a fervid trip through Tesen's sound palette and bleak apocalyptic vision. Highlights include the pranged out pipes and jaunty multi-tonal riff on "Excuse Me", the clever references and conscious messages on the title track (with Mr Traumatik) and the white knuckle energy and anger on the fittingly titled "Livid".
