Review: Ever since 2012, Springbokz founder Stephane Deschezeaux has periodically got together with the Formichelli brothers to jam out warm and hazy disco tracks. The best of these have been released under The Family's Jam alias. This latest single-track salvo - the follow-up to October 2016's Baby Funk EP - is arguably amongst their best works to date. Built around a Chic-like groove that makes great use of clipped, Nile Rodgers style guitars and rubbery Bernard Edwards-ish bass, "Sunnyview" rises and falls continuously upon waves of punchy horns and wiggly synthesizer lines. It's sunny, cheery, and effortlessly sweet. To our ears, it sounds like a summer anthem in the making.
