Review: The sun's starting to go down, you're outside Cafe Mambo and the DJ spins a tune that's positively sublime. Its crisp beats, descending bassline and dusty, looping piano riff underpin an African-style chanted, wordless vocal; it just sounds like one more identikit 'Beefa chill-out number at first, but by the time it's ended, it's well and truly buried its way into your head and will now be the sound of hazy, lazy contentment for the rest of your life. That's the superb 'The Folly Of Pangloss'. The accompanying 'Lose Again', with its looped acoustic guitar and male soul vocal snips, is a bit more standard-issue Balearic fare but still plenty playable.
