Review: It's always exciting to see a brand new outing from TMSV, a veteran of the dubstep sound who continues to impress with every new EP we see. This time around, we open up our journey with a dip into the super wonky synthesiser bumps and froggy bass notation of 'Otherworld' a wicked way to begin, jam-packed with digitised sonic treats. On the flip to this, we dive deeper into the realms of dungeon-ready dubstep heat as 'Object Unknown' arrives with a swift kick to the jawline, fusing gnarly bass pulses with drippy atmospheric backdrops and system-busting sub textures to give us a real hand full of a record. What a double drop this one is, perfect for the late night raving crew!

Review: As we see the sounds of TMSV return, we are thrilled with joy as Perfect NL unveil this tasty three track collection, exploring TMSV's unique brand of quirky dubstep flavour. We open up in style, with a creeper-like slide through pulsating string-like synths and glitchy textures for a vibrant opening, kicking off the EP with some serious panashe. From here, the slower tempos and enigmatic acapella layering of 'Stopper' gives us a much more twisted design, focussing on bulbous sub-bass tones in the lower end and a constantly shifting sense of rhythm above. Finally, we move into the more emotive harmonic structures and glacial melodic layers of 'Complex Flashback', which completes a trio of very alternative creations, finishing us off with a whistling lead, jam-packed with potent droning energy to match. Wicked work!

Review: Finally! TMSV unleashes his cheeky jungle versions on digital for the breakbeat massive. Delivered on a brand new label (which hopefully means more to come), each cut rattles and slaps with the raw energy and furious funk of the early 90s. '2094' sets the scene with pure cream thanks to a very well known vocal sample and some utterly obnoxious breaks thrown in for good measure. Elsewhere 'Take U Back' is a much more stripped back jam allowing plenty of space for the sweet and sassy RnB vocals, 'Break Down The Wall' is all about the massive rumbling subs and absolute amen assault before 'All The Yous That Have Been' finishes the EP on a slower emotional breaks tip. Wild.

Review: Om Unit takes it to the bridge once again. His label's first V/A collection since its evergreen Cosmology Sessions in 2017, it's another vast plane ripe in sonic depths and textures from some of the most left-minded, boundary-fusing captains in the bass game. Featuring two crucial link-ups from the bossman himself with two kindred spirits Djrum and Synkro plus a whole cosmic cornucopia of voyages from the likes of Danny Scrilla, J:Kenzo, Vromm and stacks more, every track is a highlight in its own beguiling way. No label flares with the same levels of dark vitality, there's more than enough for our brains to chew on right here.

Review: It's time for somewhat of an explosive apperance on this one as we see the highly anticipated return of Roadman Joel who again gets busy alongside his compadres at Tumble Audio for one of the biggest and baddest bass music selections on road. As ever with a Tumble compilation, the genre range is exceptional, from Sergic's breaksy brilliance on 'The Prince' to the super cold speed garage episode in 'Jawnz' and the grimey, tech infused drum slices of 'No Bootlegs' from Timbah. This a fantastic project from start to finish, with our two main highlights being Leda Stray's super funky pulser in 'Ashtray', Rame's lively vocal appearance of Ali McK & IYZ's 'An Again', and the acidic expressions of Arctic's 'A Little Bit More Reese'.

Review: Are crucial the most cutting edge sound in dubstep right about now? They certainly have to stake a claim as they unveil yet another fire indusing four track bundle, including recordings from the likes of TMSV, Van Dam, Causa, Sleeper and Opus. We begin our excavations of this one by looking into the shimmering sub work and moody synths of TMSV & Van Dam's 'Qanum Fodder', before falling into lethal bass rolls of Causa's 'Are We'. Following this, Sleeper comes through in storming form with the subtle beastings of 'Ginger Root', before Opus sends the dance into pandemonium with his super glitchy expanse in 'People'.

Review: It's been a little while since the last White Peach project hit the shelves, but we are very pleased to see them back in action alongside the legendary dubstep driven vibes of TMSV. We begin with the title track 'Zoned Out', which combines a scattered array of drum sounds with the occasional spooky hit to create a haunted expanse. Next, 'Oliphont', another tripped out pulse, shaking forward with off the cuff melodies and powerful sub textures. Following this we dip into the smoothened sounds of 'No Soul' before rounding everything up on 'Killing Season', a super creepy collection of pitched vocal sounds and breathy drum work.
Review: The Innamind Sound has been on a serious rampage of late, putting out some of the most sought after releases within the dubstep sphere. TMSV supplies the goods this time as we kick off with the title track 'No Sleep', which is an unpredictable roller, laced with unusual rhythmic structure and crisp production. Next up we slip into the lethal bass leads and haunting atmospheric extensions of 'Temple' before finishing up tidily on the punchy horn stabs and distorted 808 hits of 'Maniac Mansion'. A seriously impressive three tracker for sure!

Today we're inspecting the construction site of Artikal Music UK's next project. Founder J:Kenzo employed eleven professional and highly skilled architects to carefully design, build and create a handcrafted compilation full of music he admires. As J:Kenzo explains: "The tracks included were filtered through from artists that have previously released on Artikal or have some connection with myself either being played on my Rinse FM shows or live sets". Considering the quality of each and every track, only two years of fabrication to finish off this product is remarkably short. Volume One of "The Architects" reflects J:Kenzo's refined taste in dubstep and drum and bass. On the 2 x 12" record, you'll find some absolute masterpieces from amongst others D-Operation Drop, Causa, Compa, Argo, DubDiggerz and J:Kenzo himself. The Architects' series, a yearly showcase filled with content from the label's artists plus VIP and remixes as well as bringing through new talent, will make the foundations of dubstep shake undoubtedly.

Review: TMSV has decided to switch things up. The Dutch producer took a break from the music scene to find his own sound. His latest output takes inspiration from British and US street/bass music. Perfect Records is a new label run by the producer and as you're able to hear on the release: the label's focus is well crafted electronic music that embraces the beauty of imperfection. Starting off with the deep dubstep of "Modification' featuring some real hypnotic polyrhythms, the jagged "Doom Clone" will shake your walls with its intense sub bass wobble. Finally "Junglis" is an angular perspective of the early '90s rave sound, with its breakneck riddims and Reese bassline being one that'll appeal to nostalgists.

Review: TMSV specialises in all things bass-related, an artist who is capable of producing pretty much any sort of dance music that travels at the speed of sound and drags frequencies lower than the underground itself. The Artikal casual lands on Tumble Audio with this monster of an EP, filed with dubwise dread throughout, and that manages to wield an impressive amount of jungle out of its more dubstep-centric beats; "Expensive Suit" is a good example of that, but even "Nuh Tek Diss" has enough break-ridden charm to please all sorts of corner-dwelling head-nodders. A bodacious selection of remixes from the likes of Archive, Murder He Wrote and Hypho add to the nastiness, and make this one hell of an EP.

Review: Kenzo's Artikal hits the big two-oh in style with Dutch drumweaver TMSV. Sitting pretty around the 165 mark (past the point of no return between dubstep and D&B), each cut rolls hard and heavily. Both versions of "Hunter" play deftly with intense layers of funky percussion: TMSV diving deep on the full speed while Jay licks low on the halftime flip. Elsewhere we're bombarded with more super-tight congas and icy textures on "Laddergoat" while "Speed" belies its title due to its anchor-like halftime dynamic. Genuinely unique, 165 is a really exciting area that's crying for more creativity like this.
Review: One of Artikal's firmest faces, here we find Dutch dynamo TMSV stamping hard on the dubstep landscape without wiping so much as a speck of dirt off his kicks. "Jackhammer" lives up to its name with a pernicious percussive pattern that tattoos your inner soul, "Guillotine" slices savagely with a tense string arrangement while "Elegy" palpitates with an emotional series of chord changes and unforgiving atmospheres. Dig deeper for the sub-aquatic slaps and skanks of "Fire Dub" and the powerful, cinematic drama of ideal set-opener "Head For Home". Make yourself at home.

Review: Whether it's as a performer, a producer or a label head honcho, J:Kenzo has never done things by halves, so Artikal's debut long player was always going to be special. 15 exclusive cuts from the label's talented family and friends, this collection of contributions doesn't just document where bass music is at, but where it's heading. Each track is a highlight in itself, but it's cuts like the slinky hypnotic groove and cosmic congas of TMSV's "Scorpion", Sleeper's star-gazing, dub-drenched sub science of "Coxsone Dub", Skeptical's lesson minimalism and aggy restraint ("Skavenger") and Eshone's treacle-like dirge "Qualia" that really represent the depth, scope and vision of Artikal. Designed for the dance, arranged so well it works as an entire listening experience, Artikal don't do things by halves.
