Review: Tojami Sessions is a collaboration project of native Frankfurters Tom Bucher, Jacek Darnowski and Michel Niepenberg, and together represents the diversity of house music. Michel and Jacek have been producing together since about 1992. Following up great releases on Raum.. Musik and Dessous, they're back again on the ever reliable Plastic City with their new one : the sensual late night deep house of "Feel Love" with its come hither vocal and its velvety dub chords over smoothly clipped rhythm programming. Second offering "Yoko" is a slinky and hypnotic deep house journey through the late night.

Review: German house legend Norman Feller, also known as Terry Lee Brown Jr. is back on Plastic City with a superb compilation of deep, late night grooves showing us where his long standing imprint is at right now. Starting out with the blissed out dub techno of BDTom's "Wallhack", it ends up covering the entire spectrum of what one could define as 'deep'. From Dave Pad's gorgeously melodic "Dream Clashes" and close associate David Keno and Jimmy Lesson's "Ocean Drop 5", there's classic U.S. Garage sounds courtesy of Brown Jr. himself on "Far Deep Holder" and even moments of more energised tech house like on Dalson's brilliant "Infriction". The compilation also comes as a continuous mix courtesy of Brown Jr. himself, as a bonus track.

Review: With a colossal 25 tracks, Deep House Extravaganza Volume 6 certainly delivers on its promise. It's an epic collection of snugly deep house nuggets that should tickle the fancy of anyone who likes their house warm, comforting and touched with the faintest whiff of sweat-drenched late night soul. There are forays into chunkier, more bumpin' territory (Junior Gee's familiar "Southside Hustle", the percussive thump of Caytaz and Patz "Watercat"), some pleasing Afro flavour (Qmusse's "Amasikko") and even a dash of pacey tech-house (Tan Atalar's pleasing "April"). The overall feel, though, is smooth, groovy and floor-friendly - and it delivers that with aplomb.
