Review: Trap 10 have notched up three EPs on Don Williams' a.r.t.less label, and now their next move is to set up their own label, with the same name. Chronicles sees the German duo deliver a diverse but impressive debut release. "Flight 781", with its pounding kicks, menacing chords and wild acid lines, is a tough but funky affair, like Shed and Mike Dehnert getting it on. On the flip side, the pair offers up a totally different approach with "Shakem"; centred on rolling break beats and a repetitive vocal sample, this funky arrangement is given some extra muscle thanks to a visceral acid line. Can't wait for the next chronicle.
