Review: Arkham Audio has commissioned remixes of tracks from last year's Mercy album. Arnaud Le Texier's version of "More Perc" is a techno-focused affair, with a focus on dramatic chord builds and a metallic, skipping rhythm. Remaining in that zone, the Stanislas Tolkatchev remix of the title track is a rattling, skeletal workout, powered by powerful thunder-claps and acidic pirouettes. It's not all banging techno though. Kmyle delivers a pulsating remix of "Invasion" that centres on a throbbing bass, and Linear System's synth-heavy take on "Lights" inhabits a similar space. And while DJ Dextro's version of "Vertigo" centres on a rolling club groove, it also has a noticeably soulful edge thanks to the use of insistent vocal samples.
