Review: Tuxedo Junction what's your function? It's their debut EP proper so let's find out.... The brilliantly titled "Nigel's Greasy Sack" flips from smoky trumpet parps to elephantine 4/4 electro slappage, "Bermuda Blues" takes us back to 2008 with some savage fidget wobble and scat-slammed vocal chops while "Stompin" gives us all an air double bass lesson over some Mr Scruff style steppy beats. Dig deeper for a pair of equally mischievous collabos: "Past Last Orders" gets busy on the glitch fizz with a little assistance from Captain Flatcap while "Lester The Cat" ups the tempo to a pant-swinging, whisker singeing horn-melting 170 tear-up. Debut EPs don't come any cheekier; we expect more from these Bristolian merrymakers very very soon.
