Highlights come in all shapes and sizes, forms and flavours including the hectic hype alarm 'Disparity' from Caramel, the rudeboy jungle bizness of Konz' 'Think It Over', the spatial slaps and alien bubbles of 'Around The World' from Nu:Temper, the endless grizzles and groans of 'Nick The Greek' from Brownson and the mad drum thumping drama of Placebo & Olly Riz's 'Clicks & Clacks'. Review: The minimal tones are out in full force on this one, as Hickupz is joined by several co-conspirators on Drippyboiii for a precisely engineered tour through drum & bass' clinical side. The title tune is almost liquid in style, as Professor Phattie injects some human soul into otherwise sparse, mechanical soundscapes. The Hickupz remix of 'Invasion' is the other highlight, a minimal track made perfect by the flurry of amens before the drop that act as a perfect counterweight to the spaciousness of the main section; a sub-focused roller that simply doesn't let up. That's the tone of this release and we love it.
