Review: Unders enjoyed a rather productive 2015, delivering a string of releases for such labels as Play, Sincopat and Groove On. Here, the Dutch producer tries something a little different, eschewing his usual squeezable deep house and Euro-tech influences in favour of the kind of pitched-down, spaced-out dancefloor psychedelia that usually goes down a storm at A Love From Outer Space parties. "Syria" is an intoxicating, hallucinogens-fuelled trip to the Middle East, full of drifting Arabic flutes, foreboding bass, bubbling electronics and undeniably unsettling vocal samples. Satori ups the weird factor further on the accompanying remix, offering up sharper electronics, looser drums, and longer breakdowns.
