Review: It's a First World Problem, but pity the poor reviewer who has to find something new to say about a Music For Dreams compilation: with Bager's label now in the game for well over 20 years, and with the 'Music For Mindfulness' series itself reaching its seventh instalment, you really should know what you're getting by now! Still, it's a formula that works - clearly, or they wouldn't be into their third decade - and if you're a fan of the label's mix of ambient, Balearic and downtempo vibes then 'Music For Mindfulness Vol 7' should more than satisfy, with some of the more notable tracks including the fragile beauty of Valentin Huedo's 'Wonderful Piano', Hess Is More's haunting, indie/psych-tinged 'You & Me & Them' and Willie Graff & Darren Eboli's dubby 'Pink Hotel'.

Review: Since making his debut back in the noughties, Valentin Huedo has shuffled between Balearic-minded deep house, tech-tinged fare and, most recently, the kind of melodious, gently uplifting fare that would once have been described as "progressive house". It's the latter style that he explores on the Tonight EP, his first outing on All Day I Dream. Female singer Bird provides attractive and seductive lead vocals on 'Tonight', a warming chunk of hybrid deep house/tech-house fusion rich in sustained chords, bubbly electronic lead lines and glassy-eyed intent. Huedo's ability to deliver tactile, sun-kissed dancefloor gold is successfully showcased on the melody-rich 'Salinas Sunrise', while Igor Marijuan hook-up 'Neo' is a sparkling, gorgeous and effortlessly summery affair capable of calming your mind while moving your feet.

Review: Huedo Valentin is fast becoming an Ibiza deep house guru, with a neat string of releases on several killer house labels. This time he appears for the Omms crew and delivers the goods in the form of three bouncy house cuts: the first, "The Bright Side" is a vocal-led thumper of the highest calibre, whereas "Golden Days" is funkier and more sample-heavy. Last but not least, "Look Of Lion" gives us a dosage of fine electro swing to cure our every bass need - yes to Huedo!
