Review: A decade on and German imprint Kling Klong is still going, good on 'em we say! Gellert is up forst and offers us "Ochno", a restrained techno cut with a persisting dub chord and hip hop sample going head to head over a stomping and overdriven 808 kick, plus hissing snares and a snarling arpeggio. "Horizont" by Rainer Weichold gets more on the house tip with its hands in the air piano roll and 303 bassline backed by a sturdy beat and rich analogue strings. This one will have crowd wrapped around your little finger. Vangelis Kostoxenakis' "Last Minute" also remains on the house tip, but this is dark afterhours tech house with a sick bassline and sombre atmospherics backed by druggy synth textures and an all round funky groove reminiscent of early Tale Of Us. Finally "Rolling" by Desta remains on the dirty afterhours tip too on this spooky and paranoid 8AM tech house slow burner.
