Mind Against & Dyzen - "Freedom" (original mix) - (4:43) 122 BPM
Review: Mind Against have released on well-known labels like Hotflush and Afterlife - now they bring their distinctive sound to this collection for Fabric. "Freedom", the pair's collaboration with Dyzen, encapsulates everything that Mind Against are associated with; widescreen synths, dreamy deep house textures and crisp break beats. There are similarly hypnotic contributions from Yotam Avni and Marino Canal. However, this selection is not one-dimensional; it also features tough dub techno from Echonomist and Toto Chiavetta, as well as more left of centre selections like the organic, tribal drums of Aera's "Ketosis" and Red Axes' electronic disco, "Connector". That the Mind Against duo are able to integrate these disparate elements and put their own mark on the end result speaks volumes about their talents.

Review: The Russell Brothers aka Truss & Tessela keep the fires of their Overmono project burning with a huge session on Fabric Presents mix series. Off the bat you'll find a hyped and unreleased Blawan number in the producer's "Fourth Dimensional" next to a 2005 Vex'd classic "Pop Pop". Overmono exclusives include a super laid back and hopeful "If U Ever" alongside both numbers from their latest Polykicks release - jungle and UKG heads check it out. On the lighter dubbier side of things is a sweet inclusion of Well St artist Robert Fleck, next to some heavier bombs from L.B Dub Corp, Plastikman, Actress and Ed Rush & Optical's "Bacteria". We also recommend Powder's "Lost Of Light" next to DJ Misjah's "Victim" and Equiknoxx's "A Rabbit Spoke To Me When I Woke Up". Best thing since Surgeon's This Is For You Shits.

Review: This second 20 Years Of Fabric compilation presents a new arranged selection of the defining network of artists that have come to call fabric home. Taking in deep and atmospheric loops from Groove Armada to the light and sprinkled chords of Call Super, the sound of the Farringdon trips through the live and acoustic percussions of Margaret Dygas, the devastating hardcore cuts of Special Request and pure strads of drum and bass by Source Direct and J Magick. More recent tracks include the epic classicalisms of B.Traits acid-flecked "Mameya" to the industrial and dubbed out techno from Marcel Dettmann and Imogen. And not to be overlooked of course are bonafide classics from Unkle, Shackleton, Cassy and Sascha with "Comet Chaser".

Fabric 95: Roman Flugel (DJ mix)
Roman Flugel / Various
Fabric 95: Roman Flugel (continuous DJ mix) - (1:18:21) 128 BPM
Review: Fabric 95 is Roman Flugel's first commercially available mix in seven years - the last being a selection for Live at Robert Johnson - and it's a suitably wild ride. It veers in style from Daniel Koehler's hazy break beat house and Lanark Artefax's darker, bass-heavy broken beats, into Red Rack Em's dark roller 'Mad House' and the deep, hypnotic techno Benjamin Frohlich remix of Tuff City Kids' "Tell Me". While some DJs become more conservative and predictable as they get older, it seems that the opposite is the case with Flugel, and he brings the mix to a close with the tripped out "Fascinating" by rave survivor DHS.

FABRICLIVE 94: Midland
Midland / Various
FABRICLIVE 94: Midland (continuous DJ mix) - (1:14:40) 126 BPM
Review: For Midland, selecting and mixing the latest Fabric Live is a dream come true. By his own admission, the UK DJ was obsessed with the series, even going as far as designing his own posters to accompany the mixes back in the day. Now that he has been given the platform to finally mix an instalment himself, he doesn't disappoint; Fabric Live 94 sees him move skilfully from Even Tuell and Juju & Jordash's left of centre house - the pair are on fine form with the jazzed out "Monday Mellow" - into timeless 90s techno from Carl Craig (as Tres Demented); LFO and Santos Rodriguez, before heading into Convextion's signature deep sounds and Japanese producer Shinichi Atobe's wonderful abstractions. Many years in the making, Fabric Live 94 doesn't disappoint.

Fabric Worldwide LIVE 92: Preditah - (1:11:46) 140 BPM
Review: Pure headphone and home-listening inspiration: Peditah's Fabriclive mix comes strictly mixed form and it's a straight up snapshot of bass music's raw and healthy state right now. Bulging with bangers and exclusives from the likes of DJ Q, Wiley, Bassboy, C4, Mr Virgo and loads more, the Brum badman takes us from the sublime house of Black Loops to the riotous grit of Solo 45 and all shades in between. Fluid and fiery, all recorded in one take, Preditah's delivered one of the most on-point mixes Fabric have released in a long time. Essential listening every time you touch road.
