Review: This is a hell of a compilation from the Original Key crew, celebrating 3 years of being in the game. To do so, they've roped in some seriously big names including Sub Zero, T>I, Aries, Dutta and the one and only Bungle. Bungle's contribution is a powerful, rolling number with a solid drum break and swirling, hypnotic low frequency oscillation that'll have you nodding in agreement. Voltage & Nicky Blackmarket come correct on 'The Magnificent', DJ Sly and MC Det smash 'Jungle Drums, and there are many more huge tracks on here from equally huge artists. One to remember.

Review: Don't be misled by the title: this is no thrown-together 'greatest hits' package but rather a 40-track label showcase from DJ Hybrid's Audio Addict label, coming complete (if you opt to buy the whole album) with a fast and furious, 52-minute mixed version by Canada's RMS, aka Paul Currie. Tracks come a mixture of relatively new names (Martyn Nytram, Saffire Dubz, Confusious) and more established players (LJ High, Scartip and of course Hybrid himself), while stylistically the album touches on various different D&B sub-genres, but with the emphasis always firmly on cuts that are built to tear up the rave.

Review: Veak quite often pops up on this site with some of the filthiest jump-up around, but this time he's coming at your ears with a six-tracker of jungle proportions, courtesy of one of the best breakthrough labels of recent times: Deep in the Jungle. Every single one of these tunes is laden with a feeling of roughness and they all pack that jungle vibe we all know and love so well. The title track, 'Addicted to Her', takes the cake for us just because its drums have been nailed so damn well and the sample work is superb. Well played Veak.

Belgian badsmiths Deep Quake Music curate their first VA, it features a supreme rollcall of new-gen jump-up talent and it's an all-out attack of the senses from the start to finish. Highlights include the utter gutter chomping filth of Machine Attax's 'The Crocodile', the wild euphoric rush of Smoggy's 'Feel Like Nothing' , the trippy springy bounce and cool halftime switch of 'Undefined Inception' and Master Error's absolutely outrageous twist on Owls Of Filth's 'Proliferate'. That's just the tip of this grotty, stinking iceberg... Quake up and smell the coffee!

Review: Veak you absolute badman! Longstanding French breaksmith Veak returns Serial Killaz specials offshoot Killa Dubz with his debut full lengther. The clue is in the title Amen Adventures... This is a full frontal excursion of the jungle senses, loaded and coded with the two most important aspect of the foundation style; brutalist drum dynamics and a devil-may-care attitude to sampling. Highlights include the industrial strength flames and grit of "Jiggy Jiggy", the Buddz smoking turbo soul "Blind To You", the scorched skanks of "Rocky Road" and the absolutely tearing final track "Urban Legend"... And that's not even half of it. Time a take a trip.

Review: The hardcore flavours are plentiful here as we see the super energetic production stylings of Veak as he touches down on Phantom Dub Digital for a seriously potent two track EP. We begin with the monstrous reesey leads and overpowering drum breaks of the title track 'Annihilation', which is sure to turn any dance to a zoo! On the flip side, the weighty ideals continue in style as the well crafted sub and bass designs of 'Let Me Talk Now' hit the deck with some strong drum breaks and sharpened vocal slicings.

Review: Veak - after a short hiatus - is back with a full length LP and it's pretty impressive stuff and a welcome sight after his little break. The title track is wide, forceful and ceaselessly crazy, an arrangement of limit-breaking synths coming together in a surprisingly melodic arrangement - one for the raves. 'Consequences', 'Hypnotic, Moon Kush' and 'Step Up' are all in a similar vein, just pure dancefloor killers with the energy to keep you going once the sun starts hitting your face. It's good to see Veak stepping up into a longplay, so this is worth a listen for sure.

Review: We've featured Veak's music a lot on this site and it's because it always comes with a distinct feeling of anger and aggression that translates into seriously banging D&B, either in a jump-up format or something altogether more rolling or jungley. The latter of these terms certainly applies to 'Easy Man', a sick, reggae influenced jungle number with a stabbing, punchy bassline. 'The Mist' flips the vibe on its head with a powerful set of synth lines and basses, all of which come together to make something that's genuinely heavy. We're assuming this is a sampler for an album, so we look forward to hearing that.

Entitled Ayahuasca, it's every bit as life-changing and brain-ironing as it sounds: "P.L.S" is an alien laser blazers, all gurgles, sirens and rusty breaks. Review: Walk on by if you're expecting this to be some type of homage to Skrillex. This is the true essence of patios bangarang... Total chaos and a hubbub of the highest order. Six sticks of 170 dynamite, we range from the high voltage shreds and danger of "Tune Deh Bad", the bumpy Bristol blunderbuss vibes of "Save Me" to the aquatic skanks and hip-swaying energy and dynamics of "Deep Energy". With plenty more stinkers to be found in between, this is one of Veak's biggest and baddest EPs to date. Beast mode enabled.

From the sun-kissed soul and key-tickling evangelist jam "Salvation" to the absolute rave carnage of "What's Going Down", the boys have gone in on this collection maintaining its still spotless reputation as one of the most consistent and prolific mix series available in the genre. Pay close attention to the Jukebox Jungle track, too. This needs your loving.

Review: Woi and indeed oi, Veak continues his blazing run of form with another swag bag of badness on Liondub International. So heavy we get the VIP before the original, 'Black Bombay' ignites the fire in ruffage jungle spirit before he treats us to a whole smorgasbord of sickness; the 'Basement Track' style garage vibes of 'Echo', the stinking early 2000s Ram flavours of 'Put Up Your Lighta', the deeper, introspective steps of 'Under The Influence' and the ridiculously tense deal sealer 'Feel The Rush'. Each cut primed for those moments when we're finally able to let loose again, Veak is killing it right now.

Packing pure exclusives from a whole gang of on-point rollersmiths and stepper surgeons including Kumarachi, RMS, Epicentre, Conrad Subs, Veak and more, expect nothing but trouble... The drums on Kumarachi, Veak & RMS's "In Spirit" will slice bones in two, Conrad Subs "Inglorious" will have you on such a heads down hypnotic trip you'll think it's 97 all over again, Epicentre's "One Eight Seven" is a total murderation station the second that Micky Finn & Aphrodite-style bass juice oozes out of the speakers while Veak's idea of alternative medicine isn't so much as homeopathic but psychopathic as the steppy kills drill into the deepest corners of your soul.
