Review: Next up on Dubplate Supplier, a solo roll out from Veak, who graces us with a vibrant new original creation by the name 'Systematic', which on first listen already has us excited for the dancefloor damage it is undeniably going to cause. As far as original ideas go, this one takes the cake as a furious combination of sharpened drum processes, blipping arpeggio slides and moody subs all join forces, dancing together around a lethal selection of bass notation. As a standalone single, this one hits all the notes between nostalgia and new school, making it an instant cop for any dubstep fanatic.
Review: Veak makes us weak week after week! Coming on strong with the jungle pressure, flying like Tarzan, once again he dishes out more gold. 'Talkin Roots' goes heavy on those rattly snares and cheeky glimpses of the walk n skank riff. Pure carnage, it sets the energy levels for the rest of the EP. 'Operator' gets high on its own horn supply, 'Make Di Send' flexes an Eek A Mouse style vocal sample in falsetto style while 'Sound The Alarm' and 'Babylon Too Rough' shut down the EP with pure ruffage. Rootical manoeuvres.
