Review: Four very varied mixes to choose from on Vincent Floyd's brand new EP for New York label Ghetto Rhythms. In its Original form, 'Time Machine' is a textbook example of a classic-style deep house groove, and comes topped with analogue-sounding synths that are at times lounge-y, at others sci-fi-esque. The Vincent Inc Remix is lighter on its feet and sports tropical percussion a-plenty, the Kazarian Remix has discernible hints of disco and reggae as well as a full-on jazz section towards the end, while a downtempo Outro from Lola Allen completes the package.

Review: Vincent Inc. runs Manuscript Records out of the Ukraine. He teams up with emerging Czech producer Orkus for a great EP on American label Archivators Records: the label where you will find the smoothest and most sophisticated sounds to take to the dancefloor - for the deepest and most intimate moments in existence. The pair execute a riveting expression in moody and bass-driven tech house on the epic "Road Of Older Man" packed full of lengthy delays and long, ghostly trails of reverb. Orkus then flies solo on the cavernous and glacial dub techno of "Leap Of Faith" that will no doubt have you surrendering to the void.

Review: Ukrainian label Manuscript has enlisted the services of a trio of top talents to remix Crimean studio don Vincent Inc's "Abstract Life" single. Julian Sanza steps up first, delivering a driving chunk of dub-disco/deep house fusion rich in sparkling synthesizer lines, sun-kissed chords and his own rubbery post-punk bass. U.S deep house veterans Mateo and Matos wrap drifting vocal samples, lilting electronics and warm Fender Rhodes chords around a chunky groove on their fine interpretation, while DJ Ra-Soul opts for a brighter and breezier deep house vibe on a remix that benefits greatly from a squeezable synth bassline and some undulating TB-303 style acid motifs.

Review: Deep house/US garage veterans Mateo & Matos have been around longer than the Ark. Yet they remain capable of great things, as "Want U Tonight" proves. It's a deliciously simple deep house concoction that marries contemporary production (see the beefy bottom end) with the twittering synth melodies and loopy organ hooks of old New York house and garage (think Nu Groove meets Henry Street). John Mateo's remix is classic New York deep house, while Eddie Matos' version has more of a New Jersey garage swing. All the mixes are wonderfully slick and groovesome.
