Review: Destination NYC: Liondub International look back over their last year of releases with this almighty 25 track collection of highlights. As always with Liondub's broad and highly international church, the vibes go the full flex from classic dancehall jungle to epic jump-up tear-ups. Highlights include Bladerunner's savage Amen assault 'Jungle Strike', the big vocal licks and even big bassline snorts of JNGL's remix 'Worldwide' and Original Sin's absolutely despicable twist on the Riko Dan-front 'War Ting'. Review: This compilation album by V2E showcases solo work produced by Graham Warnock aka Vital Elements, while being under strict lockdown restrictions between 2020 and early 2021. For a self-confessed studio addict like himself, it became a daily ritual for the veteran producer, the only difference being that he could not test his material out in the clubs during the period, which meant more time for making music. Since August, his label has been dropping singles from this collection, with the 30 minute mix marking the full collection being released on LP format featuring new and exclusive material.

Review: Graham Warnock is Ramsgate-based Vital Elements, chief at V2E and one half of Serial Killaz. His latest offering is "Just Breathe" featuring Ena Jules, a fierce expression in old school breakbeat science from the darkside, featuring some of the gnarliest mentasms you've heard this year. Taking a mellower turn is the second offering "Let You In", a sturdy stepper complimented by a nice female vocal and an overall sunny jump-up kind of vibe.

Review: Vital by name, vital by nature: Serial Killaz' member Graham lays down two contrasting dancefloor shock-outs. One for all of those beautiful day time parties we're seeing so many of post-lockdown and one for the evening as we slip up a gear and watch the sunset. 'Summer Vibes' says it all - a big sing-along vocal hook, swaying skanks and a tightly plucked guitar line, there's a warmth to this that rolls from here to the shoreline. 'Shook The Ground' follows suit with a delicious Latin hook but with a little extra grit in the addictive Q&A bassline hook. Elementary.

Review: Graham Warnock aka Vital Elements is back in the house on his ever-trust-worthy V2E imprint with this Serendipity single. With punchy jungle vibes controlling the mode alongside some heavy dub effects and low end basslines, the Dancefloor remix keeps it stripped back with some nice attention given to its vocal, and badass dub section. Serial Killaz, no less, turn in a heavy, uptempo and stepping rhythm in their remake that's teeming with pure dub vitality, drum and bass ethics and the sweet charm of reggae, lovers rock and ragga.

Review: Killaz by name, killer by nature; Vital Elements and Tobie Scopes' continue to set the agenda as DJs, artists and as label owners. This third annual mix-up is certainly no exception as they plough through 59 tracks - many of which are brand new exclusives - to paint a picture of exactly where drum & bass is at right now. A thick smelly melting pot, everything is thrown into the mix: Upgrade's spine-trembling harmonics on "The Voice", ruded-out bassline badness from Voltage ("My DJ"), various jump-up hybrid creepers from Russian newcomer Ozma, brand new dark wobble lava from Serial Killaz themselves ("Rudebwoyz") the list goes on and on. Review: Vital Elements is a long-time stalwart of the rougher side of the scene, the side of the scene that perhaps doesn't get as much flashy publicity but that day-in-day-out plays host to raves, bedroom hang outs and after parties up and down the UK. Vital Elements is that guy who'll be at the party, spinning tunes and having a good time and this single encapsulates that no-nonsense, fun-at-all-costs approach. 'Mass Projection' is a bouncing leviathan that rests on naughty snare-action and lives up with its jagged bass notes; 'Smoke of Calii' is more of a rolling beast, it's back end stretching out and lumping you in the face. Another top release from man like Vital Elements and this big one comes in at a cool eight tracks. Lovely stuff.

Review: Lickwood & Gunshot always unleash some of the naughtiest D&B around, it always has that tinge of old-school flavour and usually packs an aggressive punch to the finale. The best thing about Vital Element's new single is the rough-edged manner in which it toes both the old-school and new-school lines. 'Instagram Badman' feels wonky and old yet sits within the current wave of dark rollers so popular at the moment and it's reminiscent of Kid Drama's recent releases, except with a bunch more roadman attitude and less chin-stroking superiority. It's one of those tunes which you'd find at a free party or at Boomtown, and which would just absolutely blow up the dance.

Review: In terms of legendary status for labels over on the jungle/jump-up side of the scene, it's pretty hard to beat Serial Killaz. Run by the duo of the same name, the imprint has arrived with the second instalment of their mixtape series and it's unsurprisingly good. Full of big tunes from guys like Serial Killaz themselves, Vital Elements and Upgrade, it's the latter of these guys that takes the cake with 'Steel Drum'. You've probably heard this one doing the rounds and it's actually already been released, but oh boy what a tune this is: a screaming, siren-lake mash of grating metallic synths and punching drums all come together to make an unstoppably good piece of music. Don't sleep on the rest of these tunes though, and a special mention goes to DJ Hybrid's 'Beatbox' - naught jungle vibes.

Review: Cruising in the slipstream of Micky Finn and Voltage's artfully punned Finntage project comes more Finn fire. This time he's rolling with one half of Serial Killaz, Vital Elements and they've cooked up two enormous bangers. "So Good" looks back to the early 2000s - Grimy-era Dillinja, Safari-era Bad Company - its two note bass hook is an instant hype hair-raiser with a great balance of drama and unpolished edge. "True Guidance" is similarly heritage-minded with more of a "Nightflight" rolling vibe but with added dubby dynamics. Complete with various edits of "So Good", this is a dynamite package from two of the scene's most authentic veterans.

Review: A massive double header of searing bass action from the fledgling Ramajam Recordings on their latest release. Bristol's Killa Tingz step up first with a infectious combination of new school dubstep bass and old school hardcore - if The Prodigy had made "Out Of Space" now it might sound a bit like this. Next up, Vital Elements and Ruffride turn in a bit of proper drum & bass in the 90s mould, as amen breaks tumble across swelling subs and a huge rave-inspired breakdown - absolutely fantastic stuff.
