Review: Fresh from helping to launch the Peace Symphonies label, rising star Gorge Hewek steps up on Watergate with an expansive EP full to bursting with collaborations. You'll find two versions of 'Fluminesse', both created alongside Volen Sentir and Lost Desert: a wonderfully atmospheric, bass-heavy 'Dub' mix full of sustained string sounds, ambient pads and starry melodies, and a vocal-sporting '12" Version' that takes the track to even higher, more uplifting heights. Elsewhere, Lost Desert lends a hand on three other cuts: the billowing, soul-flecked deep house/tech-house fusion of 'Ocean', the Isolee-inspired 'Night Walk' (think 'Beau Mot Plage' re-made for 2022) and the deeper, dubbier and hazier 'Covered in White'.

Review: Guy J's Lost & Found bring us the fifth installment in their annual 'best of' series. The collection's sitting in our Deep House section but, like the label's output generally, would be equally at home on the progressive/melodic pages, with the label boss's two contributions sitting alongside tracks from other well-known names such as Brian Cid, Tantum, Stereo Underground and Roy Rosenfeld. It can all get a bit floaty and epic in places, and tracks like Stereo Underground's 'Space Fields' and Guy J's 'Beast Of Sea' arguably lean a little more towards the progressive techno side of things, but there's still much to enjoy here.

Review: Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream bring us this four-tracker from Russian duo Volen Sentir, known previously for their work on the Shanti Radio Moscow label. Deep house from the progressive end of the spectrum is the order of the day generally, with the contemplative 'C.a.m' kicking things off, 'Sonoman' a warm-up friendly headnodder, 'Kailas' daring to break out the pan pipes (and getting away with it!) and 'Sirun' bringing the EP to a close on a suitably laidback, blissed-out note. We might be heading into the depths of winter, but you can get yourself a dose of summer sunshine right here!
