Review: As always with Dread Or Dead, we have a serious box of treats to tuck into as they welcome the explosive sounds of Volume A on-board, delivering a rapturous pack of originals to begin, backed by two unique remix additions to match. The opener takes the title 'Guell', a seriously gnarly slink through reesey bass textures and dungeon-like drum patterns, giving us a drippy feel from the jump, before 'Growth' gives us a further dose of skippy rhythmic flavour with a slightly more stripped back soundscape. Next, 'Issue Tracker' closes off the solo originals with a sub-heavy warbling feel, before IOWLA steps up with a spice-infused, jangling rethink of 'Guell'. Finally brings his bubbly subs to the table with a raucous rework of 'Growth', closing off the EP with a smokey sensation.
