Review: The fourth instalment of Amelie Lens' label compilation series gets off to a powerful start. The rave stabs and pounding kicks of AIROD's "Nemesis" and the peak-time industrial techno on Joey Risdon's "LSD Reaction" show that this edition's focus remains on full-on bangers. Not all contributors follow the same approach though. For example, Farrago & Part Time Killer's "The Keymaster" is built on a pulsating, throbbing groove and cut-up, repetitive vocal samples. Similarly, ACOR explores a new, highly effective take on acid with the insistent, throbbing "Eat Sleep Rave Repeat". However, if you are looking for a track that defines Exhale's aesthetic, then check out DLV's "Der Pakt". Powered by Mover-style bass menace, it's exactly the type of turbo-charged peak time material Lens is best known for.
