Tim Taylor, the man behind many well-known techno records, has come up with an exciting new project, Manhunt. Working with Wayne Scott, the storied disco DJ, he delivers "King of Sleaze", a thumping electronic house groove that recounts Scott's time as resident at the fabled Flamingo night. On Tessuto's 'Dance Dance' version, "Sleaze" is transformed into a heavier techno arrangement with Scott's narrative revolving around a 90s bleep bass. Meanwhile, fellow Brazilian L_Cio, known for releases on D.O.C., opts for a more conventional, loopy techno sound on his interpretation, with insistent filters and tough kicks underpinning Scott's tales about the wild days of disco.
