Review: This VA is jam-packed with some of the scene's best liquid maestros, and it's of the movement for Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism, a group which seeks to raise awareness and money for those who have autism. Low:r, Furney, MsDos and more have gotten themselves involved, and the result is a lovely, serene walk through some of 174's most nonchalant moments. 'Eyes Closed' by Low:r is especially gorgeous, with his trademark organic sound fluttering in the wind of his creativity like usual. Changer is characteristically deep with 'Only To Be', and it's just the iceberg of what is a brilliant album for a brilliant cause.

Review: Unfettered jump-up jungle styles cooked the American way: Will Miles's release rate seems to be upping by the month since emerging at the start of the decade. His Mac II debut follows support from labels such as LD, Rubik, Faction and Intrigue and it's a bit special... Firstly we have the Tyke style grunts of "Takers", then we have the darker, DLR style rumbles of "Family Man" but it's his remix of Randall's classic "Broken Plate" that closes the show with the biggest statement thanks to its near-overwhelming amen batterage. Genuinely monstrous.

Review: This is the original compilation from cult label Horizons and collects 13 killer cuts from a range of rising talent within the D&B community including Saburuku, Naibu, Mutt and Sinistarr. They've been known to describe the mood of their releases as "hoods-up and heads-down" but there's quite a lot of variety on here too: opener "In Control" is restrained and soulful, "Open Wide" features sumptuous female vocals, "The Beautiful Life" is shimmering poolside stuff, while "Rain Maker" is hauntingly raw, "Lynx Is Playing At My House" boasts the 80s soul influences suggested in the title and "Revolution" even boasts guitars!
